I find it ironic that these throwbacks from the 60's are occupying Iowa City, Iowa. They have owned it since the 60's. Iowa City Iowa is a cesspool crawling with like minded individuals, how it continues to exists in Iowa is anyones guess. The park they are squatting in does not allow camping or gathering to protesing for that matter with out a permit, unless the protest is spontaneous. Lest they upset these miscreants the city leaders decided to let them squat and protest without the necessary permits calling the protest spontaneous even tho they knew about it days in advance. Its much easier to just appease them, right Mayor Bloomburg? I guess the local occupy movements exist for those who cannot afford to actually go to Wall Street. Hopefully by mid December the wind chill will hovering around -30 and these folks will have moved to a warmer clime!

They occupied Denver but the State Patrol ran them out of the state owned park last night.
They went across the street to a city owned park.

The guy in the first video had a good argument, but got messed up when he brought war into it, how a New Yorker forgot about 9/11 I don't know. We need a lot of improvement on our economics but I wouldn't want to leave it to these people who would probably re-create the USSR or some wafflesauce. I know enough about Marxism and its various cousins to be surprised why anyone would want it in our world. But I like how he stressed that career politicians and their conflicts of interest are not in our interest. I personally would like to see so many jobs stop going overseas to avoid corporate taxes that could provide jobs to American's who are not busy protesting. I remember seeing something on TV about it was because we are not as educated as places like China and India, really? How smart do you have to be to read a troubleshooting script to a person trying to plug in their new TV? Or stitch nike's? The second video was just creepy, sure we have problems but those people shouldnt be anywhere near a position of power, I would actually prefer the status quo.

That was funny ^^

The President.......
.................Now owns it.
White House Draws Closer To Occupy Wall Street, Says Obama Is Fighting For The Interests Of The 99%
Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/white...#ixzz1b2KTLdsE
Don't include me in the "99%". I'm well into the top 50% - that ain't hard - and the smelly loons ain't talking for me.
"The White House continued its embrace of the Occupy Wall Street protests on Sunday, using the strongest terms yet to identify President Barack Obama with the growing movement.
In a call previewing Obama's upcoming bus tour through North Carolina and Virginia, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama "will continue to acknowledge the frustration that he himself shares," about Washington's laggard response to the financial crisis..................."

OWS Organizational Emails
Below is a link to hacker postings of Day of Rage and OWS organizational emails and notes. This information was posted on Twitter and on the web (IIFC "JESTER"). The E-mails document pre-planning for events, Tactics and targets.
For example:
quote:
Hi Free Folks,
This is a pretty radical proposal but I am gonna put it out there.
No demands. Instead, we will live and practice and be the change we want to see. Our only "demand" is an invitation to all New Yorkers, all US citizens, and perhaps all peoples around the world living under corrupt, exploitative, violent and oppressive political or economic systems to JOIN US. Anyone who feel dis-enfranchised, voiceless, or lacks basic human rights or liberties should JOIN US. Anyone who wants to have a planet that will continue to sustain life should JOIN US.
Liberty Plaza, quite simply, is a liberated zone, and we are forming a new government in opposition to the dominant systems. We are practicing direct participatory democracy, and we INVITE YOU TO JOIN US!
The logical conclusion is admittedly a polarizing, but if Libyan "rebels" can claim to be legitimate government of that state, why can't we lay claim to a new legitimacy? We are a new state that explicitly rejects violence.
I appreciate any responses or feedback on this suggestion.

So, another high profile target to consider for tomorrow, and evening event that will be totally unexpected and would make a lot of noise would be to have an action at the New York Public Library's $25K a plate dinner tomorrow night. Usually the exact speakers/attendees of the events are kept hush hush until after, but here is a recent example: http://newyorkpubliclibrary.or...rnow-and-jon-meacham all of the attendees will be linked to the corporate power structure in one way or another.
The location is the main building at 42nd and 5th ave, with a park behind the library, Bryant Park: http://g.co/maps/uxkxk
The board of the NYPL is comprised of the top 1% and is just a great general target for a peaceful powerful action. For all it will scream abt how they are a struggling NGO, the library is worth over a billion culled from it's donors. So there will be a large splash of attention with little if any collateral damage to NYPL.
Bryant Park is usually crowded from the early afternoon on, so you could do a lot of outreach there prior in conjunction if you would like. Mix of both natives and tourists and it is public space.

And now, panhandlers are competing!!
Too funny.

It’s a den of thieves!
Occupy Wall Street protesters said yesterday that packs of brazen crooks within their ranks have been robbing their fellow demonstrators blind, making off with pricey cameras, phones and laptops -- and even a hefty bundle of donated cash and food.
“Stealing is our biggest problem at the moment,” said Nan Terrie, 18, a kitchen and legal-team volunteer from Fort Lauderdale.
“I had my Mac stolen -- that was like $5,500. Every night, something else is gone. Last night, our entire [kitchen] budget for the day was stolen, so the first thing I had to do was . . . get the message out to our supporters that we needed food!”
“The worst thing is there’s people sleeping in the kitchen when they come, and they don’t even know about it! There are some really smart and sneaky thieves here,” Terrie said.
“I had umbrellas stolen, a fold-up bed I brought because my back is bad -- they took that, too!”
Security volunteer Harry Wyman, 22, of Brooklyn was furious about the thievery -- and vowed to get tough with the predatory perps.
“I’m not getting paid, but I’m not gonna stand for it. Why people got to come here and do stupid stuff? All it does is make people not wanna come here anymore,” Wyman fumed.
At one point yesterday, Wyman and other volunteers briefly scuffled with a man who was standing near a park entrance with a pail calling out: “Donations! Donations!” -- and pocketing the cash people tossed in the bucket.
