Bill Hillar is an international expert in human trafficking and has devoted his life to fighting this atrocity both abroad and in our own country. In 1988, while traveling with schoolmates in Southeast Asia, kidnappers pulled his 17 year old daughter off of a train and forced her into the sex industry. Despite an exhaustive, multi-country search, he was unable to save his daughter from being killed by her captors. He now devotes and enormous amount of his time and resources to help teach others about human trafficking and how to stop it.

He is a retired Colonel of the U.S. Army Special Forces. He has served in Asia, the Middle East, and Central and South America, where his diverse training and experiences included tactical counter-terrorism, explosive ordinance, emergency medicine and psychological warfare. His military expertise led him not only to cross-train and serve with Special Forces from allied countries, but to advise governments and military organizations in several foreign nations. He holds a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Education, a Ph.D. in Health Education, and an honorary doctorate in Intercultural Relations.

Hillar provides training and consultation to law enforcement, firefighters, and other first responder organizations where quick reaction and rapid recovery are essential for survival. I have been keeping a close watch on the Bill Hillar thread. I just recently registered with your site and am not able to post for another 48 hrs. I noticed many members mentioning his email address being down. Here is the email address that he gave to his students during one of his classes:

bhillar@gmail.com It's different than the one on the famous billhillartraining.com and worked last week.

Also, in case anyone wants to see Bill "in action" the following link will take you to a facebook page with a 20 minute video of him telling the story of his abducted daughter and the search to find her. I have sat in on two of Bill's classes and have previously reported inconsistencies from each to the administration. There were many examples of plagiarism from reputable SF books. I was very happy to see the thread start on your site and that Bill will finally be responsible for his actions. I hope the above information is useful. It looks like Bill was taken off the SAPP home page but is still listed as a class instructor on some other sub-pages.

I happen to work in rather extremely close proximity to the UO

I don't feel comfortable challenging him on his QP claims as I am not, nor ever have been a QP, but I'd be happy to talk to any staff and provide them with this thread URL or QP contact info.

I made a quick pass by the SAPP offices a while ago, but did not see Bill anywhere. They're in Esslinger Hall, which is mostly a Physical Education building, but it also holds offices for small auxiliary departments, such as SAPP and the wilderness survival, etc people.

Not a problem, that's why many frauds such as bill hillar get away with it for so long, they play the odds. What are the odds of coming across a REAL Green Beret wearing Special Forces soldier attending one of his talks? About zero.

You keep sending us the possible Special Forces Frauds and we'll keep busting them.

Now Professionalsoldiers.com is receiving a couple of requests a week to verify someone "Green Beret" status. We only go after them if they make themselves "public" figures.

You should be aware that your special guest speaker for your 16 November event, William G Hillar, is neither a retired Special Forces Officer nor the source for the movie "Taken" as he has falsely claimed for quite some time now. He is a complete fraud who is currently being exposed for what he claims to be but is not through the efforts of the REAL Special Forces community. His real military service was as an enlisted radar operator in the USCG Reserve for 8 years from 1962 to 1970.
