Just picked up a Mauser K98. It is a swp45 coded gun, which means it was a late, late war assembled gun like Apr, May 45. The best part, I thought it was a parts gun, but it turns out it is a DDR (East German) re-conditioned gun for their guys after WW2. So in away it is a parts gun, but in a good way. A swp45 coded gun is hard to find, BUT a swp45 re-conditioned and forced matched by the commie germans is even harder to find.

I suspect Heller was more of an excuse than a real reason. (Though I like the Rugers too.) Wishing you much pleasure in their use.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Heller may not have protected your right to a semi-auto pistol in the D.C.

At least, that is DC's read, and if they enforce it, we will have to wait for another case to make its way through the appellate process.

None the less, I consider the decision a win and I am happy.

Reading the rules and stickies would be a good way to start, before you begin posting.
