My name is Steve. I was in the Air Force and I fixed hospital equipment. I got out to do something that I felt made the world a better place. So I've been lurking around here. A wealth of information can be found if you shut up and listen ... or don't post and search.

Well in the "real" world my name is Patrick. I am 22 years old and live near Stuttgart, Germany. I am not in the army (not yet) but I´ll join when I´m done with my current job (travel agency).
I do have some good friends in different units of the German SOF and just don´t see myself in some office til the end of days. I admire the SF way of living and I guess I got the brains to make it; when it comes to the physical part I try to stay fit through jogging, marathon, different team sports and scuba diving when I´m on vacation. My dad has been a skydive-freak for decades and I might get into that in the near future, too. We´ll see.
Anyways, I already found some interesting threads and comments and I´m looking forward to participate whenever my knowledge allows me to.

Thanks for all the useful information and the amazing memories and stories shared by the silent professionals.

Let me introduce myself again. I am a 25 year old male. I have spent 4 years in the infantry and now I have decided to re-enlist. I plan to go to Ranger school and hopefully get the honor of trying out for SF. I know it's gonna be hard but there is alot of great info on this site that I plan to use to better myself. You would do well to become good friends with the Search button which is located in the upper right corner of the screen you are reading. Chances are if you have a question regarding SFAS or the SFQC it has been covered here before.

When you have an SFAS date let myself or one of the admins (highlighted in green) know.
