The Biggest Liar

I remember the lean times in 3/3rd SFG(A) just after the first Haiti deployment under LTC Schroer. Every trip we went on, we lost separate rats, had almost no budget, and had to eat MRE’s or buy food on our own dime. Just prior to my first trip to Uganda, my 18C had the team members all chip in personal $$ to buy a chainsaw because they wouldn’t buy us one out of the trip budget. Anyone who has been to that region knows that the wood there is impossible to cut with normal tools and we had to build our base camp from scratch, as there were no buildings at our training site. Amazing how quickly the game and money has changed.

I was one of those guys standing in line at the cage in finance waiting for my $500 while the 7th Groupers were walking away with big wads of cash.

During a jumpmaster MTT in Zimbabwe, LTC Schroer had us eating (starving) in the host nation mess hall at One Commando for (about) $1.00 a day for three meals per soldier. Dudes had to go downtown to Harare to get their own food because they were just not getting enough to eat. Even though many complained about the poor conditions of the rations, nothing was done about it. Eventually, guys started raiding the supply of MRE’s that were brought for contingencies. LTC Schroer was so pissed off about soldiers “stealing” food that he had all personnel in country (including teams from remote sites conducting JCET’s) assemble at One Commando military base to get their ass chewed for being dishonest and weak soldiers.

If you followed the link on this post you would understand how ironic all of this was. I can’t believe that we have leaders like this in SF.

How many of you QP’s out there can say you got your ass chewed by a transgender freak?

Thank you, AxeMan. It's now official. I've seen it all, and I'm scarred for life because of it.

Yeah, but the good news is now that he is a woman, he is a lesbian woman.

Still chasing chicks, just without the right equipment now, which some would argue he never really had in the first place.

I'm glad you pointed that out TR. I actually decided not to look into that part of his/her life because I didn't want to find out that he was secretly checking us out back then. There are still quite a few guys in 3/3rd SFG(A) that were there during that time. I will let them know that he wasn't checking us out.
He really was a D#$K HEAD though!

What're the odds that "Mrs. Schroer" was in town for San Francisco's Fleet Week?

Disclaimer: I'm not SF qual'd, and while his transformation into a her is shocking, she still had the balls, when she was a he, to earn the title of QP, before he traded up his pocket aces to become a she... so I don't feel I rate to bust her balls... well... figurative balls... that is... when he had balls before he became she.

Ha Ha, I remember that well, I think it was our guys on 352 that had them made, Doug V and Ron Pm (I think, gettin' old ya know). Remember that underground newspaper?? Was it the bend-Over-Daily, or BOHICA or something like that. I know the CoC was out to get whoever it was.

Yup, those were the days, one ODA, 1/2 pallet mission essential gear and two pallets of T-Rats on a C-130 to do a mission. Gotta love it....NOT. I had to keep a guy back from training every day to be "hootch bitch", prepare t-rats, and warm up the immersion heaters. (yes we had to bring those also)

He got that Trick From Jim Parker when he was the BC. Starve the teams and show the Higher's that he saved money.

Glebo,

I actually did a lot of that research that required them having to send T-Rats with the teams and get you guys money to supplement off the economy. Pissed Group off. They couldn't use just one C-130 to deploy several teams at once anymore. With all the T-Rats each team was authorized they had to schedule multiple 130's to get them into country. I believe they even had to run some T-Rat resupplies a few times

Also remember Schroer cutting all our training during RSU's. Even though it was JTF-6 money and given to the company for training...his position was "It's my job to save the government money". So..."turn that money back to JTF-6".

I went in a mission in 94 and Shroer took a whole bunch of money from DNA to buy kit for the op and then issued us stuff from CIF. DNA was thouroughly pissed because we were expected to buy and destroy equipment over the course of what we were doing. I don't know that all of that money was ever actually turned back. I do know that DNA tried to get theirs back.

IIRC, he/she got into hot water for buying items, like computers, with ACRI money, then leaving them back at Bragg for unit use not associated with the ACRI.

Apparently, someone complained.

Yes the he/she did get into hot water for that. But it didn't hurt him/her bad enough to keep from making O-6. Plus he then went on to becom an Aquisition Director (AD) at USSOCOM. For those not familiar with the inner workings at USSOCOM the ADs are the guys that get to decide how much funding programs get (SOPMOD, MBITR, BALCS, etc...). It must have been heaven for a person like him/her. You can rest assured that he/she was at least partially responsible for the miserly way that the teams were equipped before 9/11.

I asked one time..."How the hell do you go TDY and end up losing money?"

Stay safe.
