Now that is whistlin' right along. I didn't care for seeing that flat spin on the FLIR either. Not sure if the right word; does anyone know approximately at what altitude he stabilised?

Fittingly BG Yeager went supersonic again today. October 14th seems to be the day for gettin' loud.

I just asked a question. I didn't intend to insult anyone and I don't know what the people that confirm records have for rules. I admit I don't know anything about tandem jumps my last FF was in the late 1960s.

No insult perceived. Just a statement of fact

No he's not... he had millions of dollars and NASA behind his "daring feat".

Crazy is the guy that was the "first" to jump without a parachute (and live). (Yeah, some moron did it without a parachute and died.)

I didn't mean to come across as disrespectful to the feat that Mr. Baumgartner achieved. Perhaps it was a poor choice of words as I wasn't being literal. The team assembled to complete his stratosphere jump is an impressive group of professionals with a wealth of expertise. Nor would I minimize the time, money and energy invested. I heard that his suit is being looked at my NASA as a foundation for future spacesuit designs.

I knew Col. Kittinger (Ret.) set his own jumping record from a high altitude balloon, but am unfamiliar with the other incident mentioned.
