It was reported that he always wore a suicide bomb vest...... too bad there wasn't a major secondary explosion.

Sounds like he was alive enough to suffer. Must have been Allah's wish.

I wonder what the fist US soldiers said to him as he lay there in his misery, dying slowly?

Could it have been.....

"President Bush sends his regards......Asshole."

FWI, just came across this article that claims there was an Iraqi witness who saw Zarqawi being pulled from an ambulance & then beaten.

I doubt that he was beaten by US troops!

CPR, maybe! But he was messed up so that no amount of aid would have brought him back.

Reports say he tried to roll off the improvised stretcher... I think he knew who got him. Wish someone had a football to put in his hands as he died. Oh well, can't have everything.

Airstrike Remix

I realize this this is one battle victory in a long war, but this video is too sweet not to post. May I present to you: The Airstrike Remix. The gun camera footage set to the Beastie Boys tune Sabotage and spliced with some before and after pics. Enjoy!

450+ Raids

Thought I would share this link to an article:

At first I was skeptical of what kind of impact al-Zarqawi's death would have, but over the past week it seems that there has been an exponentially increasing amount of information coming in. Let's hope it keeps snow balling....

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5084324.stm

"The US says coalition forces in Iraq have carried out more than 450 raids since the death last week of al-Qaeda's leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
The US said 104 insurgents were killed and 759 "anti-Iraqi elements" captured. "
