To use a relatively benign phrase...after a very “sloppy” national election...

There was an actual banning of a sitting president from a communication platform in America...wtf ?

A second set of Articles of impeachment with 10 days to go ?

Reported discussions at highest levels regarding the invocation of the 25th Amendment ?

Is this how you bring a nation together ? This behavior by a winning party seems pretty extreme to me. This behavior is more akin to the CCP crackdown on dissidents. This reeks of totalitarianism.

Just an observation not advocacy...but do the powers-that-be not see that the probability of violent reaction increases as the extreme behavior (stupidity on both sides) increases ?

I know that the enemies of our nation see this and the wedges are becoming easier to place.

The political elite need to put the nation back on simmer and fast.

Been watching quite a few liberal leaning friends having meltdowns online.
It’s a natural consequence of cognitive dissonance.

They’ll alternate between posting about how the violent Trump supporters assaulted police at the capitol and then post about police at the capitol removing the gates and helping a little old lady down the stairs after she trespassed.
They’re trying to find some way to reconcile the idea that it’s ok for the left to riot, but not ok for the right to riot.

Their totalitarian streak is showing when they look in the mirror, and they can’t process it because they’re the “good guys”.

Just an observation, during the event in Salem, the "enemy" or "protestors" that tried to get into the capitol building were referred to by LE as Patriots and were identified by their American flag. I listened to the police band and heard this first hand. During the event at Washington DC I again saw American flags and LE working against them. I do not know of a time when Americans, Patriots or the American flag was used as an identifier for the enemy in The United States of America. I may be wrong just my observation. I did find some satisfaction in the "elected officials" cowering under their chairs, of all things scared of Americans, no one except President Trump addressed these Americans.

Chance or probability?

Trump has been the primary spokesman for the populist/MAGA movement. With his primary means of communication now being banned from him, this will have the effect of driving the movement underground. The probability is increasing violence as this movement loses its voice. 80 million Americans will not have their minds changed nor will they have their voices silenced.

Probability for a real insurrection has just increased! Bringing impeachment proceedings against Trump may be the last straw. Martin Luther King explained that people riot when they feel that they have no voice and no one is listening to them. A very large group of Americans feel that way right now. IMHO, we may just have reached a tipping point. eek:

The swamp critters and the big tech oligarchs need to be vewy, vewy careful.

TJ, I think there is going to be a major problem showing up in the next few days to weeks where people see an unequal and draconian use/administration of the law being used against them for less serious crimes (trespass and stupidity) than burning (arson), looting (grand theft), killing (murder), pillaging (destruction of private and public property), and obstruction of justice and free and lawful movement (just about everything else the left has done over the last five years under the cover and authority of elected members of the Congress explicitly going public with orders to riot and let them burn!)

Somehow, I don’t see this ending well and at this point the FBI or Marshals or whomever else is given orders to apprehend, terminate from place of employment, or publicly denounce “shame” or “cancel” a person (simply for being there on 01/06/21 on the grassy knoll) - is going to get shot in the face.

The Police Chief for Seattle has placed two off-duty police officers on administrative leave following reports they were present and had gone to Washington D.C. to support President Trump at the rally. No reports that they had even gone to the Capital building only that they had gone to Washington. Also, several NYFD both active and retired are being investigated by NYPD/BCI for being there. Something very very wrong with this...!

The ‘woke” culture of liberal politics in the workplace started the last few years with people being fired and terminated for wearing articles of clothing supporting Trump to now being terminated from employment simply for exercising one’s constitutional rights.

It’s called a “police state” in communist propaganda for a reason. We are there!

President Trump also signed a EO Sept 12, 2018 that officially since then put US in a state of emergency.

Then ask yourself, with the extreme measure being employed against Trump and his supporters to shutdown all forms of communication, so that an effort to organize is curtailed, are we not in a state of initial conflict that precludes the first shot.

A bit of everything perhaps. They completely misjudged the turnout in DC and that was the first thing that started the puckering of their nether regions. I think they are both mad and very uncomfortable. Every time the curtain is pulled back they get angry when they realize they're the ones that did it.

This is a pro forma thing that sustains the foaming at the mouth of her base and she can say they fought the good fight to the end, however petty or needless. As seen during the 60 Minutes piece from last night (caught some written accounts), she still counters any inconvenient question with the accusation that the premise is wrong.

She also likely detests the photo widely circulated of that filthy peasant with his feet up on her desk. Tyrants cannot abide being mocked.

I gathered her logic was to use the impeachment to keep DJT from ever running for a second term. Seems incredibly petty to me but hey consider the source. On a serious note though, who is running the country or is it on auto pilot till Bidens inauguration?

I think it’s a distraction like the feigned outrage at the people who walked through the Capital last week, like that hasn’t happened since 2018 when it was okay to berate law makers and beat on doors and stand around with fake outrage that a conservative justice was a normal healthy boy at the age of seventeen (if that even ever happened!)

Who’s running the country, President Trump is and it’s an amazing thing that this country can run itself without any one person at the helm of top level administration jobs like the Department of Education or Transportation or the DOJ!
