Good Morning,

I am just a civilian. No previous military experience. The older I get the more respect I have for those who have put themselves in harms way. Here to read for the most part. Thanks.

Gentlemen,

I am a double major in history and Middle East/North African studies at UCLA. It has been my intention to become an elite member of the armed services for quite some time. I know that with steadfast determination and a consummate work ethic I will accomplish this goal. I've joined professionalsoldiers.com to gather as much info as I can before officially signing up. I've read the stickies, as well as numerous posts, and have extrapolated a thorough understanding of the way things work around here. I don't anticipate having many questions that haven't already been addressed, so pardon me if I don't post much. I would just like to say that I appreciate the wealth of knowledge that this site and others like it provide to would-be soldiers. I am sure that it will prove to be invaluable.

Thank You,

—E

Thanks for the opportunity....

Hello Gents,

First off my name is Woody, Active Duty E-7 (11B type). Have been AD for a few years and have served at Campbell, Vicenza, Bragg, Hawaii, and now Ft Polk as of present. Been to a few schools, been to a few places (Don't want to bore anyone with babble) I know a few members here and will use this site to learn, and maybe even pass along a lil knowledge gained from Blood, Sweat, and Hard Work.

Woody.

He's a Ford man for sure. I had to keep a short leash on my Chevy when I was in Texas. The Ford people thought it was a pet or something - not a real truck.

Hello all! I am a 91W or 68W now medic. I was first stationed at Ft. Campbell, Ky. I attended SFAS class 07-05. I started the Q Course Oct. 19. 2005. In Jan 2006 after Phase II. I had the option to leave the course due to the grave health threat my father had encountered. I got sent to the 82nd, but decided to put my re-submittal packet in while I was deployed. The packet has been approved. I hope to be back in the course sometime March 08 since our deployments in the Regular Army have been extended to 15 months.

Feb. 2004 Air Assault
Apr. 2004 EFMB
Aug. 2005 Airborne
Nov. 2006 PLDC/BNCOC (CLT)
Jan. 2006 Phase II SUT
Mar. 2007 CMB

I have found this site very informative. Keep up the good work.

Hello Gentlemen,

My name is Shawn and I would like to thank every QP for the advantage to read your stories and the advice you men give. I am Non-Prior, interested in joining the 19thSFG out of Rhode Island. I am 30 years old, married with no children and am thinking of making SF my second career in life. I am currently speaking with a NG recruiter who is setting me up with an SF interview later this month. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to talking with you.

Thanks-

Hello all

While i have been a member since i was going through the Q-Course I have not been on the site for quite a while. I have been in group long enough that i finally feel that i may have something to offer to the site.
I have been to Afghanistan twice with 3 SFG. I ran a local national clinic on both trips and have been lucky enough to see things that most doctors in the states never get to see.
Look forward to catching up with old friends and making some new ones. Thank you to all of you who keep this site up and running.
