At Ft Campbell during the winter of 1975 there was a kill-off of birds. If I remember correctly, there were so many birds they were messing up the helicopters. Some sort of soapy solution was sprayed on them and they froze to death. Dead birds everywhere...and they didn't smell good. Don't know who got the detail policing them up, but it wasn't 2/327, which was a small and rare favor to a bunch of 11Bs.
