Simply amazing.

Watching him step out on to the platform with the world on the horizon was awesome.

127K & Change

127K and change.

The IR Camera seemed to show him in a flat spin for a while.

Face plate did fog up when he hit the colder air about 1/2 way down.

Looks like he let Kittinger keep the free-fall record.

Amazing.

he was spinning pretty good.

looks like Kittenger still has the record for longest free-fall. from the clock on the screen his chute opened at aoub 4:19ish. Think Kittenger fell for 4:30ish.

AMAZING !!!!!

Record(s) broken .....

Highest manned balloon flight.
Highest manned jump.
Possibly hitting MACH (on the same day Yeager broke the MACH barrier in 1947)

but ....

Kittinger still holds the record for longest freefall time.

Does it matter that Kittenger used a drogue chute? Either way both men are studs.

It doesn't matter. Ask any tandem master if they are in freefall.

Congrats to him and a big thanks for the diversion from the ills of the world if only for a brief time. It's nice to have some feel good news for a change.
