The flexible rods help a lot. Honestly... I have not noticed any real limitation in my movement from side to side, at all. Of course, the pain limited the movement for over 6 years, so perhaps there was a decrease, but I don't see it. Also, I tend to limit my own movement, just because I want to go easy on things back there. They got to last at least another hundred years or so...
