It is my understanding, correct me, please, if I am wrong. That if one is a 'convicted felon' one cannot have a US Passport. So how come he has one.. or were his felonies in other countries and therefore not counted so to speak?

I love the part in his blog about being the youngest GB ever....... and he uses the GB words, NOT QP or SF.... that pretty much says it all doesn't it?

Since I have never been convicted of a Felony I have never researched that. I would think we would want them to travel and let other countries lock them up. They are a lot harsher than the US.

Convicted felons who have completed their sentence can have passports. If they are still on probation the decision is made by the court.

Actually, for those of you who have not already looked - the Wikipedia accountof Idema is pretty complete - best of all, it lists over a hundered searchable and linked references that support what is there (both pro and con)..

One thing that also shows up about him is that he learned quickly "in times of national crisis (9/11) for example - the non-stop media is willing to talk to anybody - who appears to be a subject mater expert.

I know it's old video but if you do it and it's on tape it will be around forever. Also, if you do something for training and tape it others can take it out of context and try and present it as something or an idea that is not true.
