'Tis a lot of food, great idea x_sf!

4 hour prep time? Nahh, half the fun of breakfast is making it a group effort. Unless you don't want to share the prep duties... Don't worry, we can close our eyes whilst you create your secret omelettes.

If I could fit myself in my kitchen without running into myself, that's a great idea - a galley kitchen doesn't lend itself to multiple bodies, sharp and or hot objects at one time.

LOL I have the same problem here. No quick movements or it could be deadly. For the short term I've downsized to a rather smallish place and miss my big kitchen most of all. The upside is I've learned all sorts of creative storage ideas.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. x_ Jeeze. A very good menu. Way to much work. Eggs and bacon in a paper bag over the coals of a campfire would be good. Besides, I see no reference to "Grandma's Fries"

Brad-
RC and Gypsy are ladies, can't do "camp eggs" for them. The Reusti recipe is from my grandmother (of course it was my Swiss grandfather who gave her the recipe). And that is the cause of all the time involved - takes forever to cook that Swiss / German grated potato pancake. Plus I actually like to cook, as long as it's for others - cooking for one sucks, so when I get the chance to "stir up a buncha vittles for the visitin' folk" I granb it and run. I might have to enlist some hlep for the final cleanup. but I clean as I go.

Gypsy / RC -
Somebody has to bring a split / bottle of Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin Extra Brut - if you want Mimosas - I only have Svedka vodka for screwdrivers, or beer - which really sucks for mimosas; turns out more like dead roses, which are not good in the morning - bad Stones reference, but hey, reference the earlier post about my twisted mind.

As long as the bacon is cripsy B, I'm good...I don't much like soggy or undercooked bacon.

x_sf, you have expensive taste! Though I did find 3 bottles on sale at EBay...for $99.00. Such a deal!

Cleaning as you go is the best way, especially in a small kitchen, but I'm sure RC and I won't mind KP duty.

$99 for all 3 bottles, that's not a deal, that's a steal, at $99 each, it's a good deal, but, can't ship ETOH to NJ. Cheap champagne, cheap beer and cheap food are not fun at all, quality over quantity (just like SF).

Bacon needs to crunch, nuff said.

I will need a reprieve on the date though - tore some muscles in my right calf / knee this weekend while sailing, Orthopod wants me to take it easy for a month (he almost hit me when I asked if I could do a regatta this weekend if I wore a knee brace).

I know, hence the "such a deal" comment! 'Tis true, quality over quantity every time. You could always bid on them...send them to me. I'll get them right out to you.

~Note to self~ better inspect the contents for freshness first....

Sorry to hear about your injury, listen to the doctor. For some reason I have a sneaking suspicion he's itching to hit ya, don't give him reason. Take care of yourself.

Got a call from the owner /driver of the boat - doctor loses, boat wins.
Shhhhh, don't tell the orthopod, I am going to: at least wear a brace; get job as pitboss, one side of the genoa trimming & chute driver; eat ranger candy; drink lots of water. 5 races, 2 days - think I'll make it? My Knee and lower leg look like they came off a really fat guy, I only have one brace that'll fit. Can you believe they say SF guys are type A, and never back down from a challenge?

Final note - buy stock in a company that manufactures ibuprofen, you'll make a killing over the next month.

Say, that's a new piece of information for me.... LOL!

I'll call the broker...meanwhile, have fun! I'd say don't do anything strenuous but that would be like...hmmm...telling a lion not to go after his prey.
