Hi guys. I enlisted 2 days ago with an 18x contract and I ship on July 14. I have the same handle on mil.com although I do limited posting. If anyone leaving at the same time wants to chat on AIM, feel free. I have just been skimming through this site and I think it is great. Keep up the good info!

Welcome aboard.

In light of recent stupidity on other forums, you new members might want to read the stickies before posting outside this thread.

Just a word to the wise....

Hi!

Newbie here as well. I've grown up and lived in Germany, England, and even more Germany.

Am currently studying at university here in Münster, Germany (Westfalia part of Northrine-Westfalia).

I'm considering leaving university and going for 18X.

I want something more from life than a shallow job later on and the occasional ale in my local pub.
