'The Warrior Diet' by Ori Hofmekler ISBN 978-1-58394-200-0

Pretty interesting book from a nutritional standpoint. Makes some well researched claims about human nature that fly in the face of traditional nutritionists and their need to eat 6 small meals a day...

Rehab reading

Greetings all
Just having recuperated from bilateral distal fractured radiuses (radii?) I had the opportunity to catch up on some reading....
Green Eyes, Black Rifles- Kyle Lamb.. excellent primer,
The Tactical Trainer- Paul Howe... great for those training those in the fight,
Isaac Camacho, An American Hero (personally autographed copy BTW).. great inspirational story (great use of the companion website),
The Gift Of Fear- Gavin DeBecker.. nice book for SA and everyone who has loved ones,
Terror at Beslan- John Giduck.. re-reading for a presentation to the PD higher-ups re: active shooter/school takeover scenario training.
For those who have not read any of the above, they are all worth the time spent reading them.

I agree. I read the book a while back. As soon as I finished it I bough a copy for my wife and my mom.

Inside the Jihad by Omar Nisiri

Interesting look into the Afghanistan training camps before 9/11 and GIA activity in Europe in the 90s.

OSS: The Secret History of America's First Central Intelligence Agency by Richard Harris Smith

Good read.

Finished that book today, very good read. Sad to hear an accident like that happening.

A Voyage to the South Sea by William Bligh

Prompted by the continuing demonization of Vice Admiral William Bligh, most recently in the news media about the removal from command of the Captain of the USS Cowpens (CG 63), I'm re-reading A VOYAGE TO THE SOUTH SEA, by Lieutenant William Bligh.

The digital version is available free at :http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/15411 or http://www.gutenberg.org/files/15411...-h/15411-h.htm

It's a log book so it's rather dry but informative and very detailed.

That was a pretty good book. It is always interesting reading about some folks you know.

I'm reading the book 1491. It's non-fiction about what was here in the Americas the year before Columbus got here. This continent wasn't what people think it was. There were towns all up and down the NE seaboard, there were confederations of tribes, and structures that folks have forgotten.

Great learning experience.

I've been pretty curious about Cahokia.
