"Imperial Life in the Emerald City" - upon which the movie "Green Zone" was based - but apparently NOT!

To anyone who has read the book Lone Survivor, Hollywood is- hopefully- making it into a movie. Read here
I want to open palm b**chslap the "other guy on the plane" the writer talks about, especially after reading the book and reliving the terrible experience Luttrell went through.

Good Books
I just finished "The Enemy Within" by Michael Savage and "The Patriot's Handbook" by George Grant. I'm working on "He Still Moves Stones" by Max Lucado and "On Killing" by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman.

The Puzzle Palace: Inside the National Security Agency, America's Most Secret Intelligence Organization
Not as action packed as it might sound, but pretty interesting nonetheless. I had recently just finished The Cuckoo's Egg wherein the various U.S. agencies are cast in a poor light when they refuse to get involved. Nobody talks about this stuff but I find it fascinating.

Wit & Wisdom
The Wit and Wisdom of Ronald Reagan by James C. Humes; Foreward by Michael Reagan; ISBN 978-59698-045-7; Regnery Publishing.
Great quick read with photos; well worth the cost.

Books
Go Devil, Cryptonomicon is a great book. It's been a couple years since I read it, but I couldn't put it down at the time. I walked away with a new appreciation for code breakers.
I'm currently Reading What every BODY is Saying, Secret Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, And a Time to Die, and Stolen Innocence.
I just finished up Achilles in Vietnam and would love feedback from anyone else who has read it. It's definitely an interesting take on PTSD.

I'm on page 540 now. It is the BEST US history book I've read. I thought for the first 12 chapters "this is a well written and researched history book but I don't understand why the title 'A Patriot's History' ". Starting with chapter 13 I understand. They present a very compelling, well researched and well written argument that the US government and progressives/socialist sare the cause of a number of the economic problems in the USA.
Highly recommended.

Professor Arquilla was my absolute favorite professor at NPS. His discussions on information warfare will stay with me forever.
I am trying to download the discussion he is having on National Review, in which he talks about some of this.

Game Change
An interesting read about the 2008 elections. Lots of tidbits of information, unfortunately most of it is unattributable, and therefore leaves me wondering if the authors made it up, or if not, why anyone would put much value into quotes and stories that no one would put their name to.
