What was the life expectancy of Paleo man?

I heard that the ones who survived getting knifed over poontang and chow could live all the way into their early thirties, provided they found enough liver and onions (washed down with raw milk).

Pretty low. As I recall, scientists said they were lucky if they made it into their 30s. My understanding is that diet didn't play a significant part in their expectancy, rather infections (no antibiotics), disease, & dental decay/loss did.

That may have been a rhetorical question, bro.

Yeah, yeah, when I initially read TR's post and thought of unladen swallows. I guess my point was that I don't think their diet played a significant part in their comparatively short life expectancy, except perhaps in instances of famine.

I'm sure dinosaur rodeos killed quite a few men, as well.

I picked up [I]The Paleo Diet Cookbook[I] today. Had a chance to brows through it and found some great looking meals. Going to build a meal-plan this weekend and go do some shopping.

I'm also combining this with RAW PT v.3.0. Hoping to see some great results.

@Dusty

Typically not a trendy guy. Standard army pt has maintained me for the past few years, but lately I've noticed that its not adequate enough and I'm putting on a few unwanted pounds. Figured it was time to step-up my game, stop maintaining and start exceeding.

I've been following posts on here about the "Primal Blueprint" and Paleo Diet for a couple weeks and decided I have nothing to lose but a few pounds

After reading RAW PT, its was a no brainer to combine it with a healthier dietplan and a little new found motivation to physically be a better/complete soldier and as a *bonus* get back into beach body mode

I don't see a problem with it.

You can vogue.

Perhaps also worth looking at is the Warrior Diet that I believe Crip and some others on here have been using for a while to great effect. I actually learned about it May '09 from the thread NDD started in 2006. I've been on it since and haven't looked back.

Here's one of the quick links on it previously posted by Dusty:

The side of the "paleo diet" not many CrossFiters like to talk about.

Its been about a month now and I've worked really hard sticking to the Paleo Diet. It has been great, the meals in the cookbook are awesome and I've lost about 15lbs, have a ton more energy (at work and in the gym) and sleep like a rock. This is deffinitely a much needed lifestyle change for me.
