You use a recipe for chili? Why?

Meat - what's handy?
Veggies.... oh you mean onion and garlic and parsley and Cumin and Chili powder
tomatoes - they're a friggin fruit, ask Richard
Beer, you need either good beer or good wine in the chili, and the cook, 'nother story.

brown the meat, wilt the onions, throw in the garlic and spices, toss in your alcoholic beverage of choice, reduce a little, throw some tomatoes in to get it to the right consistency, cover simmer for as long as it takes, or until the you get back from the second beer run after covering and simmering.

Break out the spork and the tin bowl, cornbread and whatever else you are going to chew on...

That's the chili recipe.... it can be used in the woods too, minus the beer runs...
