LMAO. I would say they probably play one of the harder schedules out there, regularly scheduling Michigan, Michigan State, Florida State, Miami, USC, Florida, and Tennessee.
They play Navy every year, and sometimes Army the same year, but USC and Michigan are there every year, too. And doesn't Michigan play Illinois, Indiana and Northwestern every year.
Some pretty tough opponents this year:
Sat 09/04/2004 BYU @ Provo,
Sat 09/11/2004 Michigan @ Notre Dame,
Sat 09/18/2004 Michigan State @ East Lansing
Sat 09/25/2004 Washington @ Notre Dame
Sat 10/02/2004 Purdue @ Notre Dame
Sat 10/09/2004 Stanford @ Notre Dame
Sat 10/16/2004 Navy @ East Rutherford
Sat 10/23/2004 Boston College @ Notre Dame
Sat 11/06/2004 Tennessee @ Knoxville
Sat 11/13/2004 Pittsburgh @ Notre Dame
Sat 11/27/2004 USC @ Los Angeles
But we all know the greatest rivalry is Michigan vs. Ohio State. When a reporter asked Woody Hayes why he went for two against Michigan when they were up by twenty late in the game, he replied "because I couldn't go for three." LOL.
I'll have to remember who the Michigan fans are when it comes down to that game. Plus Michigan is in South Bend this year. We'll have to keep this thread going.
