It is the ratio of neck size to SAT score.

LMAO. I would say they probably play one of the harder schedules out there, regularly scheduling Michigan, Michigan State, Florida State, Miami, USC, Florida, and Tennessee.

They play Navy every year, and sometimes Army the same year, but USC and Michigan are there every year, too. And doesn't Michigan play Illinois, Indiana and Northwestern every year.

Some pretty tough opponents this year:
Sat 09/04/2004 BYU @ Provo,
Sat 09/11/2004 Michigan @ Notre Dame,
Sat 09/18/2004 Michigan State @ East Lansing
Sat 09/25/2004 Washington @ Notre Dame
Sat 10/02/2004 Purdue @ Notre Dame
Sat 10/09/2004 Stanford @ Notre Dame
Sat 10/16/2004 Navy @ East Rutherford
Sat 10/23/2004 Boston College @ Notre Dame
Sat 11/06/2004 Tennessee @ Knoxville
Sat 11/13/2004 Pittsburgh @ Notre Dame
Sat 11/27/2004 USC @ Los Angeles

But we all know the greatest rivalry is Michigan vs. Ohio State. When a reporter asked Woody Hayes why he went for two against Michigan when they were up by twenty late in the game, he replied "because I couldn't go for three." LOL.

I'll have to remember who the Michigan fans are when it comes down to that game. Plus Michigan is in South Bend this year. We'll have to keep this thread going.

You should give me some points for the ND game this year. Loser pays the SOWF. It's the least you can do for sticking that scoreboard in my face - again! LOL.

Real difficult being a Trojan fan this year.

I'll go with whatever the spread is. Pick a newspaper spread source, and that source will determine the spread. How much do you want to bet?

At least $50.

I was hoping for an extra point or two, but the more I think about it, the less I want your charity. USC and ND have long roads before they play. We have other big games to think about.

I'll take the spread when it comes out.

Big spender!

OK, $50. All proceeds to SOWF.

Easy bro. I am unemployed. Maybe to make it interesting you should put up $150 to my $50. After all you have the home field advantage.

You said minimum $50, not me. Why such a large number if you are unemployed? Why don't we make it $5 or $10?

Better yet, how about the loser has to use a winning-team-related avatar selected by the winner (e.g., you could make me use your current one or something like it if the Irish win and vice versa) for a week.

Hmmm, seems like a good time to update this thread. Trojans are 9-0, still #1.

Sigi, are we betting or not?

Texas!!! Vince learned how to pass miraculously and came back from 35-7 to tie the game in 12 minutes! Then 3 more unanswered touchdowns. He rushed 123 yards in 12 carries, 18/21 for 278 yards. If he performed like this vs OU we would be #1 and not the stupid trojans!

Cool The Other USC

I became a fan of So. Cal. long before most of you were born. I played against Frank Gifford when he played HS ball for East Bakersfiel H.S.

However there is another USC (So. Carolina) worth noting if for no other reason than their coach Lou Holz. In the past two weeks Miami has lost to USC and Clemson. This should give some respect to the ACC as more than a Basketball conference. I don't know if Miami has been over rated or the ACC under rated -- perhaps both.

Actually, I think that was UNC and Clemson that Miami lost to.

The Gamecocks left the ACC many years ago. I do like Lou Holtz, though.
