I have learned that friendships developed on this forum are cherished and strong. Even if x SF med does look like a troll.

au contraire...had Hector not slain his running buddy, Achilles would have spent most of the Trojan War brooding over a slave gurl (Briseis) taken by Agamemnon...to avenge his best friend (Patroculus), Achilles went on the war path, killing Hector and dragging the corpse around Troy...later, Paris got lucky with an arrow (guided by Apollo) and Achilles checked out of the net...

Hey, Brother Medic, is the last line of this really true?

PALLAS ATHENA

Pallas Athena was the Greek goddess of wisdom, truth, art, science and peace. She also served in Atlantis under the Goddess Vesta in the 'Temple of Truth.' She is often portrayed wearing armour and is associated with the triumph of will and reason over brute force and ignorance.

(from some really odd ball website...)

Cool hat.... hmmm... does a fishing hat count?

Body armor... uh... would that be like my favorite leather corset and push up bra?

My steel pot and flak jacket days, I'm afraid, are long gone.

I've been here just a short while but I've learned most of what was posted above as well as:

1. It's pretty easy to pick out a 15 year old who didn't read the stickies
2. Crying about the dime sized blister you got on your first 4 mile ruckmarch that took you over an hour to finish will only kill any credibility you didn't have in the first place
3. I read Team Sergeant's posts at the position of Parade Rest.
4. It's even easier to pick out a 40 year old who didn't read the stickies
5. I'm not the only one with a dark sense of humor
6. There is much to be learned if you just take the time to read
7. Posers wear a Scarlet Letter around here
8. Most anyone worth a damn at knife making is a member here
9. Just one idiot with an affiliation to the Armor and Cavalry Corps can make me professionally embarrassed in less than a sentence
10. You can learn about Greek mythology in an "I learned..." thread
