As I read over this tread it covered just about every thought I had as I watched the story unfold.

As quoted by William Wallace in Braveheart; "All men die, but not all men TRULY live" Steve truled lived.

Thanks Steve

God Bless you Terri, Bindi, Robert, & Bob Irwin.

This is a article about Terri addressing the zoo staff. There are several other article links on the top right of this sight.

Yesterday I heard Steve's father talk about the possibility of the family turning down the offer of a state funeral, saying "Steve would have wanted to be remembered as an ordinary bloke". After hearing that I thought how odd that he died on our celebration of Labor Day (Labor Day is on the first Monday in May in Queensland (May Day in the Northern Territory). Anyway the articles are good reading.

Thanks for the articles NSDQ.

Zoo staff have suggested the shrine be moved inside the zoo and made a permanent fixture.
Seems a fitting tribute.

RIP Steve. Like others here my age, I remember watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Steve's show reminded me alot of that show, and I really enjoyed watching him in action.
