Thank you, Holly, Grateful, and SF_BHT!
I have to depend on my chairman to tell me exactly what is necessary for the revision - and, since the committee authorized him to do the final sign-off without further input from them, that's a good thing. Now, I have to nag him - and, if there is one thing I can do, it is nag.
The party will probably come along about Dec. 13th + a few days. Early celebrations tempt the fates - and I'm not about to do that! The 13th is when it becomes official.

Nice to hear that our pessimistic pontificator has achieved pachyderm status! Congratulations Dr. (Pending ) nmap. Happy thoughts that are the result of hard work have their own special flavor.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Nmap, that info truly made my day. And if you want, when I'm down in San Antone, dinner is on me, anywhere you like.

Thank you all. I appreciate it very much!
One of the many things that helped me along was one of Dozer523's comments some time ago. As I recall the post (and my apologies if I've scrambled the details a bit), Dozer had gone to SERE and kept thinking "At least it isn't computer school!" That always brought on a chuckle that defused some stress.
All the posts - from politics to guns, from cooking to humor - were a great way to step back from "the work" and have a smile, or perhaps a good-natured argument. Or, of course, to preach gloom 'n doom!
