NDD, you keep that up and you won't need the Padre, but an undertaker. The exorcism will come too late.

I AM SSG LOCKERT. I AM THE SF RECRUITER FOR THE STATE OF MS AND PREVIOUSLY A MEMBER OF 2-20TH SF GROUP. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE MYSELF AVAILABLE TO ANY QUESTIONS YOU GUYS MAY HAVE FOR ME. THIS IS COMING FROM A RECRUITER WHO MORE THAN LIKELY CAN'T ENLIST YOU ANYWAY UNLESS YOU ARE WITHIN A FEW HUNDRED MILES OF MS. SO YOU KNOW MY ANSWERS WILL BE HONEST AND UNBIASED. SEND ME A PM ANYTIME.

Hi all,

thanks for letting me register on this board.
I am a police officer since 3 years in a riot/intervention unit in Belgium´s capital,Brussels.
I am interested in USSF in general, but my main interest goes to MACVSOG.
Got a bunch of questions but will first look around a bit.

Take care,

Chris.

Checking in. I wandered over here from SOCNET (jw). I'm a Navy EOD Technician with 17 years of service. I try and stay in my lane, so unless it deals with explosives/EOD, I'll keep quiet.

Hello,

I am 19 years old and finished high school about half a year ago. I am currently in Panama doing community service and learning Spanish. After some traveling and climbing in Colombia I will return to the U.S. and prepare for an enlistment in the Army. I am very interested in the 18X program. My main interests lie in mountaineering, travel, languages, and military history. I sincerely apologize for posting a question without first introducing myself here. Please let me stay.

Thus far you have done nothing which would get you banned.

Colombia is not the best place to hang out, and hasn't been for some time. I believe it is still considered the kidnap capitol of the world.

Introductions

Thanks for having the most quality site ive seen so far concerning this topic. Its hard to find reliable information[ army recruiters and career councilors rarely have it] and that makes it hard to make a solid descision. I apreciate the "professionals " taking the time here.

When I enlisted, I chose a combat MOS [19D] and got Airborne in my contract. I figured there was no way I was gonna miss this fight. BUT THEN- my orders sent me to Ft POLK, 1/509th. While it was an honor to serve as a Geronimo, and a great learning experince to help transform the OPFOR from a soviet doctrine to an insurgent one, I dont believe being a MILES warrior is the full reach of my potential.I currently serve with a NG cav unit in IL, and as a NG recruiter, but after my year obligation to the guard is up-Im back active.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for creating this great site. I'm a 23-year-old Junior at Williams College in western Massachusetts majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Leadership Studies. I served for 15 months in the IDF as an infantryman in the West Bank (I was the equivalent of a SAW gunner) and since I got back to the States last June I've been planning on joining the US Military upon graduation. I'm now pretty much set on serving in the Army but found your site while looking for information on whether I should sign an early enlistment contract for 18X or apply for a commission and try out for the Special Forces after 3 years of duty. If it interests anyone, I'm fluent in Hebrew and Russian so I suppose I'd be most suitable for 10th Group if it turns out I have what it takes to become a Special Forces Soldier.

So thanks again for the site and for letting me be a guest here. I'll likely be posting questions regarding my service options once I've done some more reading of your site.

Best,
Dan

New Guy

Hey all,

Just want to say thanks for allowing me to post here. I'm getting ready to start up SFAS here shortly and this has been a great resource for me. Been checking out the site for a couple months now, looking at some of the tips for SFAS. Also read MAJ M's book (great help Sir, thanks.) Look forward to one day hopefully joining the ranks of the Quiet Professionals as well. Take care all.
