The names of the guilty will be left out of the story. After the 1st Gulf War was over a very nice US made 5 ton which had been purchased on the arms market somewhere was found in Saddam's service by some "barrel-chested, silver winged warriors'" The 82nd had become "Truckborne" courtsy of the Illionois National Guard. However after painting 1-504 PIR bumper numbers on said 5 Ton is was brought back into the service of freedom. AND we had an extra vehicle making life a bit easier!

However once back to Bragg on every IG inspection it had to be hidden in the pines. As it was on NO ones books...sometimes wonder where it would up at?

How deep is the bottom? Sounds like a pretty interesting freshwater dive . . .

It was deep enough to hide a Front Line Ambulance that the 82nd had been missing for a long time. As to freshwater dives, make sure you have your tetanus shots up to date, there is more metal, duds, and treble hooks in that sink hole than you can imagine.
