1. Heckler & Koch HK45.(owned)------Alternate: HK USP .45, FNH FNP .45, CZ 97

2. Heckler & Kock MR556A1 w/ Leupold 1.5-5x, .22LR conv. upper------Alternate: LaRue Tactical OBR 5.56x45 NATO

3. LaRue Tactical OBR 7.62x51 NATO

4. Benelli M3 Super 90, extended mag tube------Alternate: Rem 870 18 or 20 inch BBL. Ghost ring rear sight, tritium inserts, ext. mag tube

5. Rem 700 PSS, 7.62x51 NATO , Nightforce 5-22x scope

6. S&W 686 SSR, .357 (w/ more agressively chamfered charge holes) [owned]

There may be better weapon choices out there. These selections are just based on my personal experience.(but not necessarily what I own.)

PS: I enjoy these threads. They are usually quite educational, for me.

1. BCM 16" Midlength 5.56 with Aimpoint T1 on LaRue mount and a 3x magnifier on a LaRue mount as well. (Plus the other usual goodies)

2. Benelli Performance Shop M2 3-Gun 12 Ga.

3. SCAR 17 with S&B 1.1 - 8x in a LaRue mount.

4. Glock 19 with Surefire X300 Ultra and DG switch.

5. Ruger 10/22 with Leupold 3 - 9x EFR scope sporter.

6. FN SPR A5M 300 WSM with Nightforce 5.5 - 22x NXS.

That's my wish list, most of which I can't afford. I am almost complete with the Glock 19 and the BCM. I just need to upgrade my X300 for an X300U and get the magnifier and mount for the BCM.

1. LR rifle - 7.62×51mm M110 SASS;
2. Battle rifle - New experimental 7.62 AK-12 with 5.45, 5.56 interchangeable barrels, mags and kits. Trijicon ACOG;
3. Shotgun Saiga 12. Irons or Aimpoint;
4. Pistol 9x19 GSh-18;
5. Pretty quiet battle rifle 9x39 AS VAL with something like Eotech or Aimpoint and NV;
6. Absolutely quiet 7.62×42 PSS silent pistol.

So, have six main and two backup types of cartridges. This, of course, a plus and a minus.
This is all just a dreams. Really, I have only 7.62x39 Saiga MK.

Existing Full custom long range rifle in 7mm-338LM wildcat or 30- 378 Wby mag

Existing Lightweight custom rifle in 260 Rem

1. Rem 870 w/slug and field barrels.
2. DPMS .308 w/Bushnell HDMR scope
3. Rem 700 300WM w/Leupold MkIV 8.5x24
4. M4gery frankengun mid-length gas system, 16" barrel, TA-31F (maybe a couple additional uppers and optics but I think that's probably bending TR's intent a bit)
5. Ruger 10-22 w/3x9 weaver
6. Springfield XDm 45

Then I tell the wife which six she's allowed and I wind up with 10! (More likely only 8. Unfortunately for my nefarious plans I don't see her giving up her carbine or shotgun and I seriously doubt she'll settle for less than two pistols.) Maybe I can persuade the nieces and their boyfriends to join the party too. (That much less to cache. I hate the idea of burying all the stuff that won't make the cut - besides during the zombie apocalypse massive overkill will be really important. )

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

I read this thread because I don't know enough about weapons. My experience is somebody handing me something from the arms room and then I practice til I'm comfortable and expert.
Would I if I could? You bet -- a day at the range is a good day. We never had to explain why we didn't shoot our annual allocation.

" if anything" don't start going all subtle on me now.

This thread will be my post lottery Christmas list to tactical Santa!
