That's really one hell of a thing to say.
I've had some QPs tell me some wise things before like you here is one I remember very well but paraphrased. Freedom isn't what we see and think of today. Freedom sometimes steps on your toes but to cancel that out would be to diminish it. If you own a house and your neighbor next to you doesn't mow his lawn and his cars up on blocks that diminishes the value of your house but that's his right to do on his property and you can't take that from him even if it is unpalatable to you.
So if someone doesn't vote or votes third party the blood of the country is on their hands? I'll vote how I want or maybe I won't vote because I can find no man among the crowd who I feel properly represents me. That's freedom and my right to do so.

Our "under the radar" president versus our only hope
Unfortunately, in this election cycle - not voting for the republican nominee - IS voting for Obama. For better or worse, this election is really a vote to either fire or re-hire the current occupant of the Oval Office.
Voting for Obama (either by affirmative vote or by omission, or 3rd party, or write-in vote) will take the shackles off the most liberal, big government president in memory. One need look no further than this BB for links to dozens of news stories op-ed pieces and various reports on the damage Obama has caused the country.
With the "flexibility" of a second term...I shudder to think.
We are but one Supreme Court justice nominee from fundamentally transforming this country.
Romney may not be the best we have - but he is all we have. And, he will need every vote he can get.
We can bitch about Romney after the election - if, on the other hand, Obama gets reelected...you can probably expect, among other things, special ammo taxes, magazines limits, evil black rifles...fugetaboutit !
The fact that the motor city madman endorses Romney should be some evidence of what is at stake in the next election - Nugent has spoken to Romney and is convinced that Romney will be less harmful to the 2A than Obama.
In a "normal" election year I suspect Nugent and Romney might not even cross paths.
YMMV

The point is that we can no longer afford to speak in terms of "I didn't know" or "I didn't understand", "I don't care" or "we'll just suffer another 4 years and the next one will fix it all". Socialism has us encircled and its gently squeezing the life out of democracy. And, like the unwitting animal caught in the constrictors grasp, it can thrash about and fight for a few breaths, but with each breath the grip gets tighter...
The future of the world will fall on the backs of those who step into the voting both this year.
PS - Its sad that democracy is not unwitting, we have watched this happen, we continue to watch it happen and we do nothing but talk in circles and point fingers at the other party.

Down Ballot folks.......
Early primary voting starts in two days here in NC. Primary day is May 8th.
I printed out my primary ballot to look at my Republican choices.
President - 4 choices - one of those dropped out.
US House district 4 - 3 choices
NC Governor - 6 choices
Lt Governor - 5 choices
NC Auditor - 5 choices
Ag Commis - 2 choices
Ins Commis - 3 choices
Sec of State - 4 choices
Treasurer - 2 choices
NC House - 2 choices
NC District Judge - 4 choices
And of course the Amendment.
I've got a couple of weeks to check then all out and make my pick - but I'll support whoever wins in the primary.
I don't vote to feel good - I vote to win.

But Ted did not actually threaten Obama. He merely stated that he would be dead or in prison if Obama were to be re-elected. He did not say "If he gets re-elected, I'm going to shoot his ass...."
Exactly why Ted thinks he will be in jail or dead is undefined.

Do you not understand the full adult responsibilities of having a mortgage and living with others in a neighborhood, belonging to a homeowner's association and abiding by their rules or understand and appreciate city codes and the force of law, whether you like them or not? And yes, neighbors and the law can take that away from a neighbor that has a junkyard in the front yard.
Real life vs school.
To paraphrase what Dusty implied, prepare for possible numerous corrective brick marks on your forehead by others in the future.

Prolly a short interview then.
Right now, however, given all the bad press coverage of Secret Service activities, I suspect anything - even close - gets attention. By the book ! Where's the camera?

It is your right to do so, and I never said otherwise. But your "choice" as you put it is to continue on with the policies of a President that have pretty much proven that he wants us to be on par with socialist countries in the European Union, or with someone who has a chance to pull us from the precipice. What is it going to be??
If you are an Obama supporter, dandy for you, vote for him as many times as you like.
But if you are not an Obama supporter and you either don't vote because you can't stomach Romney, or if you vote third party, you are basically voting for Obama.
I appreciate people standing on their principles, even if I don't agree with them. But there is standing on your priniciples, and then there is flushing this country down the toilet. You may be surprised that by standing on your principles on this one, may cause you to die on your knees.

I think it's obvious I understand that because I used it in my example of how it is in real life and how if we held freedom in the deference it should be or how we claim to respect it we wouldn't tamper with it. I'm saying that the laws should be looked at. Yes, its frustrating that your neighbor may have a junkyard for a house but it's his right.

No, the last thing we need is four more years with a radical left-winger.

That's where we don't agree, though you may very well be correct.
I think the further to the right Romney goes, the better.
Didn't you notice how he sidestepped in that direction every time he lost a primary in order to win the next?
