As the greater disparity from degree'd on up seems to be in benefits, I'd be curious to know if your source for this chart incorporates things like the fact that for a very long time the USG has made available a multitude of options for employees to shop, purchase & tailor their health insurance benefits, something the private-sector has been slow to do in many regards (which is why we need Obamacare like a 3rd eye). But simple economics; the Fed workforce represents a big pool that pushes the limits of "economy of scale" in terms of shopping benefits.

I have thought, however, for many years the issue of any actual or perceived pay disparity - whose trumpeters embrace the class-warfare model - is not the economic issue. That's just drivel focused on "he's got more cookies than me." The real issue is the overall size of the payroll.

Dump (completely) a few irrelevant agencies in the monolith and things will get better as the G gets smaller and goes back to doing just the core things in its charter. I'd take the temp spike in the unemployment rate to see that happen.

Is our border not being overrun by illegal aliens and illegal trafficking? How many OTM's have been caught sneaking across the border?

What is more of a danger to state and local law enforcement and our nation....Sovereign Citizens or Illegal Aliens, Trafficking and OTM's?

I would bet money that more than 18 illegal aliens crossed the border in the past hour...I would bet money we had more 18 crimes committed by Illegal Aliens in the past hour.

Do illegal aliens pay taxes? Does GE pay taxes?

How many times a day are our Border Patrol Agents shot at and put into dangerous situations by Illegal Aliens and traffickers?

Are Sovereign Citizens mutilating and beheading people?
