It has been a tough deployment so far. It has been tough to have to say goodbye to our SEAL brothers as well. They have had tremendous operational success thus far and I expect that this will continue. IEDs and other operational hazards have taken lives, and/or changed lives forever in the last few months. Yet, our warriors carry on. I'm honored to be here with them. By November, it's expected that the environment (weather) will cause a lot of the activity to calm a little, and this may last up until the beginning of next year. I hope that for the rest of the year, we don't have tragedies such as this.

RIP to our warriors. You can rest now. You will never be forgotten.

I believe that SF is a 'calling' - not too different from the calling missionaries I know received. I knew instantly that it was for me, and that I would do all I could to achieve it. Most others I know in SF experienced something similar. If, as you say, you HAVE searched and read, and you do not KNOW if this is the path for you --- it is not....
