Bacon Cheeseburger Turtles
Just in time for this the BBQ season.
Bacon Cheese Turtle Burger
Mmmmmmm bacon...............this is a heart attack waiting to happen.
Handmade ground beef patties, topped with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped in a bacon weave.
Then the next step, add hotdogs as the heads, legs and tail.
Next step?
Place on an oven rack, covered loosely with foil and baked for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees.
A little crispy, not too crunchy...just how a turtle should be, no?

Sounds like a real meat lovers delight. You're whetting my appetite Mark so how about a picture? Some seasoned all beef Kosher franks would make for a nice two headed six legged turtle.

Take 2 of these and call me in the morning?
This sounds awesome - I think a good barbecue sauce and shallots would round this out nicely.

mmmmm...
I believe it's sacrilege to call anything NOT made of chocolate, caramel and pecan a turtle.

I have a feeling there's a few masculine chocoholics who might agree with us!
Not to mention the traditional kind are probably a little easier on the ol' ticker...
Hmm... I wonder if you could do the meat version in miniature - using Lil' Smokies? Would that make it heart healthy?
