Why no try to learn to go barefoot most of the time?

Current wind chill of 16 nor the average winter day doesn't agree with that. Now if I were in FL...

It is 16 degrees inside your house.. man you are braver than I. It is only 55 here, that is 20 degrees below normal. I admit to shoes no at the moment. Wool bedroom slippers.

You can start by going barefoot inside and then work up to it when it gets warm perhaps?

Those that are part of the "barefoot running" movement believe that modern running shoes only hurt us and state that no good studies have shown that all of the pricey technology in modern day running shoes hasn't been shown to decrease injury rates.

Yeah, one of the guys uses them all the time and he says run a little at a time as the muscles in your legs and feet are not used to them. However, the SGM says they hurt!!! But you do not know it until after you are through running and lyou have run too fast for too long. They are comfortable, according to them.

They also look gay as hell but do work.

The study you site is well received by many runners and when they experiment with the toe style of runnig feel better, run longer, with less pain.

Dozer, easy man! You can talk shoes without going pink. Especially when it helps you run.

Admission of Party Foul.....Case Dismissed!

Wearing a pair now. Get some funny looks at the grocery store.

I go barefoot a lot when around the house, but these damn NC sand spurs are friggin' out of control in the backyard.

Good medium for me. I haven't run in them yet. A few more weeks and I'll be hitting the fire breaks a few miles at a time. Still too cold in the AM to shed some covering on the feet. They are really breathable though. That is nice.

And Dozer... it drifted from shoes to "men's skirts" there for a bit, too! TS WILL flip. Surprised he or TR hasn't yet...
