I'd do a tandem with Robin Meade any day!

Last Jump?

Let's see, that was about six months ago.

Daddy took the boys out to the drop zone (Outlaw Field, outside Ft. Campbell, KY).

And Eric, the 13 year old, asked "where are you going to land." So Daddy looked over the taxiway that had been mowed in 10' by 10' squares. "Where do you want me to land?"
Eric picked one ... "Right here."

OK

So I suited up, boarded the aircraft under his watchful eyes, did a simple two way with a buddy of mine from 14,500' AGL, flew in and made a gentle standing landing in the middle of Eric's square.

He was there to help me carry in the parachute, because, you know, at 56 years old I'm kinda old to be doing that stuff.

Son Tommy took the pictures with his cell phone camera, pretty good quality considering the source.

CSB,

Those where pretty cool pictures....... Your son has to have been proud of your landing right on target...... Damn good job for a 56 year old..... I made up my mind I'm going to take my 1st free fall on my next 73rd birthday. My wife's a bit upset but I know by then see will accept it...................

I've never jumped free fall and obviously I won't be the oldest... However I would love to try a tandem on my 73rd birthday....... I'm really heavy(290 lbs)... Would it be possible at that weight to go tandem?/quote/GB TFS

Well guys since the truth is out..... I been signing my PM's as teddy, but I'm really known as Big Teddy for reasons very obvious...... Still planning on making my first free fall cherry jump(would it be considered a cherry jump since I'm doing it in tandem?) on my birthday......... I just hope my "new" knees will be ready by then......

koz, I will follow up on the names you gave me......Because of my age will they require a medical clearance from me?

Big Teddy
