Brian:
Congratulations, and thank you for your service.
I agree, you will still be helping the boys take the war to the bad guys, just in a different way.
You should be able to get some good deals for the charity as well.
Will you be in the BH booth at SHOT?
Take care, be safe.

I friggin' love Rick ... man we need to hoist one or five. Been too long.
TR -
Will be at my booth proper for the last year ... floating back and forth between mine and BHA.
Some folk of your ilk I need to meet will be there and I will be running around like a mad man ... again.
I will run at this ... just like I do everything else ... attack, attack, attack.
We are at war after all and I have friends in the fight.

I understand your need to continue to work, although by the time I retired from LE after 34 Years of service my child support was done.
Sometimes, I miss the 'job,' especially my days in the bomb Disposal and SWAT units. I guess I'm a confirmed adrenaline junky. At one time I was doing SF Reserve stuff and all the crazy things in my LE agency. Bombs, Motors, Diver, SWAT, etc.
My life is pretty sedate now. At age 77, I guess thats par for the course. My wife likes to cruise so we take a couple of cruises a year, mostly on the Princess line. I try to stay active in my SFA chapter and the 1st Cavalry Div. Assn. NW Chapter.
I do recommend cruising for retirees that can afford it. It's a great way to relax and get away from all the mundane everyday problems, as well as eat, drink and see parts of the world you haven't seen before or in a different light.
We also have a State wide retired Police/Sheriff Association and most of the local chapter members are from my old department. I don't make all their meetings, since they meet once a month; however, I try to make a few during the year.
I've been retired from LE since 03.1990, so I'm accustomed to retirement!
Any way, enjoy your retirement and work towards your next one!

Nope ... married ... 23 years ... collectively.
I've bought 3 houses ... for two women.
And while I appreciate the offer pal ... I ain't buying another one for a cork swinging commando.

Brian, sitting here sipping Knob Creek and trying to figure out how to get my sorry a** to the Shot Show.
Hopefully we can hoist a few there.
Maybe we can trick TR into buying a few.

Hey man ya gotta come.
We'd have a blast.
East coast gig ... and they HAVE TO KNOW you aren't going because you are into Mickey Mouse.
The ONLY advantage I can see over having it in Vegas ...
