I am NOT comparing this to what you can get in Maine, but since we are talking lobster sandwiches, there is a restaurant called The Farm in Beverly Hills that makes a fantastic Lobster Club. Lots of lobster with really thick bacon, funky greens and some sort of mayo sauce. Really worth a try if you're in the area. I think it's more than $13, though . . .

Beverly Hills show off - BWAHHHHH!
Actually, the Rainbow Grill has a pretty good lobster sandwich - but I think it goes for a LOT more than $13, I think a glass of watrer is $13 in that place.

I prefer fresh from the water, too bad I can't drop Lobster pots anymore - too far away from decent lobstering areas.

I love that place for brunch, now I have a reason to check it out during the week!

Heretic! Adding all that mess to a perfectly good lobster roll will get you burned at the stake by true Downeasters...if you're lucky.

Did I mention live softshell was averaging $5/lb last week?

Cheaper than that if you dive for them yourself....

+1

Memphis Championship BBQ!
I don't get around to other places that serve BBQ here in Vegas, but Memphis is unbelievable!

Thanks RL. I have a project BH I have to visit in a few weeks. Sounds like a place to take a customer for lunch.

From "The Farm" menu.

Lobster Club
(with Apple Wood Smoked Bacon, Avocado, Onions, Oven-Roasted Tomatoes, Arugula and Remoulade on Country White Bread)

Salmon Salad Sandwich
(with Cucumbers, Arugula, and Mayo on Toasted Seven Grain)

Farm Steak Sandwich
(with Roasted Red Peppers, Jack Cheese and Grilled Onions with Primes Farm Steak and Mayo on a Sourdough Roll.)

Ahi Tuna Melt
(Ahi Tuna with Avocado, Diced Cilantro, Red Onions and Jack Cheese with Roasted Shallot Wasabi Aioli on a Farm Fresh Bun)

That's it, I am officially hungry.

I remember as a kid going down to the docks to catch crabs. If we took the boat out we would wait for dark and spotlight them but the best way to catch them quick is to check the sides of the docks. We would catch buckets full of Blue Claw and Softshell crabs.
