Greetings,
I'm Goldy... a Corporal in the Marines.
Formerly a tank mechanic, off to pursue endeavors in the intelligence community. Did one deployment to Iraq, as a provisional rifleman.
I'm not all that much of an interesting person, though. I'm just here to browse through the wealth of information presented on this message board, and possibly contribute if the need arises.

Rocky Senatore here, 5th group guy, retired in 2004. 18E, worked a year or two as a 18F. I have tried to stay engaged as possible, working in the body armor business a while, did a DoD contract gig for NEK, and now I work for SureFire.
From time to time I get a communications or firearms instructor gig, usually for very little money, but always a lot of job satisfaction!
Live in Surprise AZ, just west of Phoenix, with my wife of 25 years and my two boys. Well, one really, the older son is in collage across town, but he still comes home when he gets hungry!
I signed up for Professional Soldiers a long time ago, and just today I found my user name and password.
Looks like a good site. I'm just happy to be here.

Greetings,
I'm Simon, I live in Montreal and I have been working as an Infantry soldier in the Reserves for the last two years. I'm now transfering to Reg Force and I will apply for JTF2 as soon as possible. In the case I wouldn't be selected, I would apply for the newly created Canadian Special Operation Regiment.

hello
New to the site, making my intro. I'm a former Marine grunt with one tour in the sand box I've recently joined the PA guard as an 11b. I've been in talks with a recruiter from 20th Group. I'm currently busting my behind to get myself back into top physical condition. This website has been a wealth of knowledge and tips and I appreciate being allowed to access this great information. I recently picked up the "Get Selected" book and it too has furnished me with some more ammo for the brain housing group. Thanks
Greg

I am a 26 year old in Washington State. I have worked in my family's business for three and a half years since getting a Political Science degree. I love my family, and want to help them out, but I think that there is something more out in the world for me. Several reasons led to me considering a military career. I didn't know much about the Army, but I have done a lot of reading and that was what drew me to SF. I met with a recruiter and on a lark took the ASVAB. I scored in the 99th percentile, and was encouraged by that. I am here learning and using it as a resource. My family and close friends think I am nuts. I can't explain it in a way that makes sense to them, but I would like to be able to do that. That's me in a nutshell.

20th Group, MI Support Information
Hello to everyone. I'm a nine year vet with six years on Active Duty and three years in the reserves. Last active station was with the 3rd INF DIV. Recently reclassed to 35M/97E. ETSing soon, and was looking at switching over to the 20th Group, MI support. Have had a bad experience with the reserves, and now a little weary about the NG. Any information will be greatly excepted.

Hello
I'm a 26 year old Civil Engineer (EI) who lives in TN. I will be eligible to take my PE test after January 2010. My wife and I have been married 4 months. I grew up hunting, fishing, riding 3- and 4-wheelers and shooting guns as soon as I could hold one steady. Thank You

Thanks for setting up this great resource about SF.

This isn't about SF, some of us are SF.
But I'm glad you mentioned the "about SF" thing, there's some SF history that should be published soon and we'll upload it when it is...
Welcome aboard
Team Sergeant
22 and getting married, you sure about that?

Introduction
Hello,
My name is Brad and I enlisted on January 5, 2009. Currently I am attached to a Cav unit and start OCS in June. I hope to be assigned to one of the Lurse units in our Regiment upon graduation. After talking with my Commander today about the upcoming schools I will get the opportunity to attend I am excited.
In the short week since I have joined this site I have spent a good bit of time learning from everyone here by reading many posts and have to say it is one of the best forums I have found that discusses the Army, the importance of being a professional, and most importantly never to quit.
Thank you all, past and present, for your service.

Lurking not permitted.
I have been lurking around the site for a few weeks but was recently "regulated" by a lovely lady and instructed to introduce myself.
I have my fingers crossed that I have not started a new thread and my grammar is correct
Veteran Patrolman for a "big ole city" in DFW, Texas. I could retire but why give up throwing bad guys in jail and helping lil old ladies stranded on the side of the road.
I noticed that my husband spent alot of time on this site and decided to make sure he was not addicted to internet gaming or "dirty stuff" so checked it out myself.
Very interesting, informative and useful. Two thumbs up!
Hubby is in NG (civilian job is Police Officer) and in MOS phase for the Q. So far everything he has told me has been wrong! hahaha The Q grew from a few months here and there to 12 months, to 14 months to almost 18 months. Time to figure this stuff out myself! One thing is certain and that is any long weekends he gets off from the Q it WILL be a weekend that I am scheduled to work!
Although, my guilty pleasure has been reading about all the "posers". Makes me very thankful that I married a real guy even if he is only "Almost Special" at the moment.
