Got up this morning to a safe environment, no fear of wild animals or miscreant humans.

Drank coffee grown in Hawaii.
The water for it was clean, safe, and sent to me via a public system.

Had eggs cooked in oil made from olives grown in the mediterranean, seasoned with spices grown in the caribbean.

Had some berries which were grown in California and Chile, with some lemon juice and sugar originally grown in Florida.

Came down to this neat little building where I have access to the sum of human knowledge at the press of a button.
Some people carry this capability around in their pocket.

All of this is available for a small fraction of a day's wages.

100 years ago, the wealthiest, most powerful people in the world didn't have it this good.

At this point in history, in this country, we want for little.
Don't understand why people buy the rich vs. poor argument offered by politicians.
The "poor" among us, aren't really poor.

Life is good.

After last winters freezes I rescued two hibiscus plants. Didn't do much more than feed, water and leave alone to heal. One rewarded me with a stunning flower today.. Peach, with orange edges and a pink center. This hybrid is called, Cocktail. It quite made my day...first thing.
