Gentlemen, thankyou for the wealth of information you provide for hopefuls like myself. I am currently a 2LT stationed in Korea acting as a Support Platoon Leader. I'm doing what I can to prepare for SFAS now so I can be as ready as possible when my opportunity comes. Thankyou.

Catching up on the intros here, Welcome aboard everyone.

Alchemist,
A QP here had a chemistry set once... but I don't think the story is for public consumption. He's my science hero.

Hello,

My name is Drew and I am a senior in college due to graduate in May 2006. I have wanted to join the Army for some time now, but I wanted to finish my degree first. I’ve come to learn as much as I can from everyone here.

Thank you for this resource.

Probably more than one.

Just ask Muldoon.

Hmm...a chemical story not for public consumption, that makes him your science hero? Sounds sketchy. I hope he'll drop me a PM and tell me about it, so I can express my disapproval. (Never did any reckless chemistry myself, no sirs. )

Sir,

Me-thinks that most of OUR encouters with Chemistry, were not of the lab/field laboratory kind of experiment venue!!!

Most, if not all, were Field Expedient.

For example, a skillful, but somewhat unorthodox/DANGEROUS, alpplication of white phospherous:

Hope that you enjoy the site and if you have any questions, give a shout.

I have it on good authority that a mix of Red Phosphorus, Magnesium powder, Thermite, and Nitrocellulose reacts poorly to being dropped onto a hard surface.

Kids, do NOT try this at home. If you want to have a home after the experiement.

Remi:

Welcome.

Please fill out your profile, and note that the QPs here consider the gear to be only a very small part of the package.

Note the stickies and intro notes posted throughout this site.

Bon Chance!
