Kyle Rittenhouse will be in a prelim hearing today in Antioch to discuss him being moved to Kenosha to answer the charges.

Rittenhouse’s attorney, Lin Wood, said the teenager was acting in self-defense.

“From my standpoint, it’s important that the message be clear to other Americans who are attacked that there will be legal resources available in the event false charges are brought against them,” he said. “Americans should never be deterred from exercising their right of self-defense.”

And video of the amp'd up Rosenbaum is going to come in, as is the New Lefty's Twitter comments to his buddy at the hospital that his regret is that he didn't kill Rittenhouse, that he hesitated and didn't dump the whole mag into him - count on it.

This is about as clear-cut case of self defense as you can get: He tried to break contact, even RAN from those assaulting him; he only fired after he was targeted and battered by weapon(s) (skateboard, capable of inflicting grievous bodily injury); he only shot those attacking him with no unnecessary or errant rounds; no collateral damage.

Good, clean shoot.

I hope we are looking at the next Nick Sandman.

After slow-motion analysis, I am thoroughly impressed! Let's review:
Three thugs just assaulted and battered the kid. His adrenaline level is at top fight/flight survival mode state. Suddenly another thug came close, feigned a surrender, pulled a pistol, and pointed it point blank. The kid's defensive shot only ventilated the thug's upper arm. He turned away while STILL holding the pistol. The thug could have switched the pistol to left hand, turned around, and engaged the kid. I wonder if I would have the presence of mind to show mercy and not eliminate the IMMINENT threat*. Then another person approached with hands raised. He could have feigned surrender too! Kid did not engage, got up, and walked to the police cars to turn himself in.

*thankfully lefty did not have the will power to stay in the fight. His toughness only came out afterwards when he was safe inside a hospital, bragging about wanting to empty his magazine at the kid.


I hope one day the brave kid gives interview of what transpired and what went through his mind, just like how the Marine who secured the stolen police AR.
