Unfortunately the pain had nothing to do with swelling [which is the main reason I was being prescribed those 800mg horse pills] but with my knee cap being pulled out of alignment by the tendons on the outside of my knee being stronger than the ones on the inside. You would think that seven visits to him for the same exact problem would have made him wonder, but it didn't. I got squared away here at Fort Drum though. Doc took X-Rays and spotted the problem. A month of pool PT and my knee feels great!

Too bad it took three years to get to this point.

Hello all,

A little background about me. I'm a Gunner's Mate in the Coast Guard, currently serving at an MSST (Maritime Safety and Security Team.) I work on the Waterside Security Section.

I work as a Tactical Boat Crewman, Persuit Crewman, Boarding Officer, and Didson/IAS operator (underwater detection/security)

I also work in the armory on top of everything else, pushing a lot of paperwork and running a lot of training, and occasionally getting my hands dirty.

Looking forward to learning a lot from everyone, especially when it comes to training ideas and methods.

Introduction

Gentlemen,

First I am honored to be here. Working with the recruiters here in Germany to QAQC my packet for YG 06. I have read the book and continue to read the guidance within PS.com. I was once told to "look, listen, and feel" my way around. It has served me well thus far.

I am originally from Tennessee with a BS in Political Science. Currently serving with the 173rd ABCT as BN S4 for 4-319th AFAR. Not big on being staff but it is the nature of the beast.

Thank you in advance for any guidance as I follow through on the commitment I have made to become a Quiet Professional.

Introduction - First Post

First, let me say that it is an honor for me to have the opportunity to join and post here. I am truly humbled by the actions of those that have served and share their experiences. I have been lurking from time to time here and joined a bit back, but have not posted or introduced myself. I am moving forward now.

I have never served in the US armed forces but am a career law enforcement officer with nearly 25 years of service in criminal investigations, covert/undercover assignments, and high risk warrant service/arrest tactical operations.

For most all of my life I have also been a military researcher, historian, and collector with emphasis on MACVSOG, USSF, and other Vietnam period special operations units. Look forward to learning more as I immerse myself in the information this forum provides.

Many thanks again - Lance ....

Hello all. I am 11B3p currently assigned as an instructor at FT. Sill OK. I am a former member of 173rd ABN BDE and served with them in OIFI and OEF VI. I have 13 years of service in the line Infantry and I am considering a change.

I post and hang out on Lighfighter.net and I can also be found on EAG alumni net. I am married and I am enjoying the down time that my current assignment affords me. I enjoy hiking, shooting, history and contemporary American fiction. I plan on doing a good deal of reading and researching on this board. Thanks for having me.

Hello,

I would like to introduce myself as David, and thank each and everyone of your for serving. I came here to learn more about the Special Forces community, and a possibility of my future endeavors. I have been training hard for the past year, as I want to honor my parents and go to college on behalf of their wishes. So needless to say, I 've got a couple years before I can join, which is good because I can mature and improve myself mentally and physically. I am working towards getting my asthma cleared, as I was informed by the Army that I could not join based on medical reasons. This isnt going to stop me, as this is something I've dreamed of for a while and I want to make it a reality.

I already see this website as a valuable resource and I thank the owners and the community members for keeping it that way. Many veterans have laid their lives on the line for me and I am ready to do my part and return the favor.

-Thanks, David.

Hello to All past and present

My intro:
Rick Turcotte is in the house
I'm a retired SF MSG, served from 1979-2003, Left Robin sage to work for NEK , retired in IRAG and continued serving as a contractor for three years. Walked away from it all for an oportunity if you will to lead a normal life. I live on the santee cooper lakes in SC. and am trully enjoying the ability to plan tommorrow and actually do what i planned. I do miss the brotherhood and the challenges but feel like i gave all of my adult life to the cause and it was time to enjoy some of what i fought for.
I ride for the patriot guard and support all vets whenever possible. I'm looking forward to adding too the competant and professional discussions that i've read here. Some who have figured out who i am are probably saying oh oh as i've never been short of candor. I'm married and happy ! My kids are doing well , who could ask for more. I'm retired so have used my real name here so those that know me will say hello. If i owe somebody money thats a fake name
ciao

Intro

Greetings Gents (and Ladies):
My name is Jay and I am currently attending the MCCC at Ft. Benning on my way back to Group. I was the Sr. Echo for 753 before going to OCS and I'm hoping to return to 7th after the 18A course. Branch said that my chances are fairly good - but you all know how "needs of the Army" can skew things a bit...
