Welcome All

Attention to detail will go a far way. Hope you do well in RIP. Do not count your cookies until they are finished. Keep your eye on the prize.
Good luck.

Greetings

Hi all,
CPT, two short tours to OIF and one long tour to OEF. My out of year group waiver was recently denied for selection. No worries, pursuing alternate routes to my goal. Looking forward to all the helpful advice and discussion on the threads.

Ha! Would love to engage in some "creative editing" of my ORB but all is not lost. Currently on the "A" of my PACE.

Quiet Professionals and board members,

My name is Doug and I live in NE GA. I just turned 34 and have been self employed as a real estate appraiser for the past nine years. I joined this site to use the search function and learn as I have recently signed a REP63 contract with the Alabama Guard. Thank you for allowing me to join this site.

Name is Sean, been interested in SF for a while now. Grandfather and father were both SF and trying to keep the family tradition going. Currently with the golden knights and will have to stay there for at least one more year and possibly a second. Joined the forum to learn more and find answers to any questions I might have. Thanks, blue skies.

My Introduction

Hello Gentlemen. I am a recent graduate from a University of California with a BA degree in Latin America and Latino Studies. I am in the process of enlisting under a 18x contract with the goal of making it into 7th Group SF. I speak Portuguese and understand Spanish and have traveled and lived in many countries of Latin America, spending the most time in Brazil. This site has been quite valuable in my research of SF and army matters in general. I would like to say thank you to all the people who put the effort into maintaining and managing this great site. I look forward sharing ideas and learning more with and from the people on this site.

Intro

Good afternoon all,
I am currently the Co. A 2/19th SFG (A), Middletown, RI recruiter and have been for about 14 months. Heard about the site from a bunch of guys I enlisted into the unit. Looked around a bit and didn't see any contact info for Co. A so figured I should get on here and get my name out there. If anyone needs info about the company feel free to call me (401) 578-6941. My background was 13 years as an MP and now 11 years in Recruiting. Thanks and I look forward to the interaction.

Great site and great people here

Former 11B here, a college student, and a working man, who is using every bit of spare time to prepare for SFAS. My main goal is to be able to run ten miles at decent pace and ruck eighteen miles at fifteen minute per mile pace by January (progress has been good so far). Might come as a surprise to most but thanks to my good genetics I actually enjoy running and rucking (and the pain associated with them too). However, the upper body is a whole different matter (not weak by any means but quite painful in order to exceed the standard).

Went to tryouts and got accepted (20th SFG).

missing challenges

It's about time I post an intro. I went through the course from 1986-1988 as an E-5 reservist, although assigned to 5th group. I did active duty tours with 7th group in Central and South America.
I'm an MP captain, now in the reserves. I'm hoping to return to the middle east either on active duty or as a contractor.
Currently I'm teaching combat tactics to noncombat soldiers at APG.
I miss what we do and the caliber of the people we are. I did the army ten miler a few days ago. I tried to get a bunch of my coworkers- active and retired -to join me. Just because I'm in my 50s doesn't mean I'm ready to quit challenging myself.
If anyone knows of a good skydiving group in MD or PA please let me know.

Hello Gentlemen,

I appreciate this resource and hope to learn a bit of the SF culture here. I'm a recent enlistee to the United States ARMY. I will be training to be a medic and plan on attempting a run at being an ARMY Ranger and possibly down the line an SF Medical SGT. For now I'll keep my eye the the 25M target.

I'm a registered independent and enjoy political science, fitness and anything that makes me have to think "out side the box"
