Hello everyone, my name is Spencer and I am currently enrolled as a senior at Gilbert High School.

I'd like to thank the Quiet Professionals for opening up this site to us non-military folk; words can hardly express my joy at being endowed with this opportunity to expand my wealth of knowledge. Just another lurker here.

Hello everyone.

Prior service Infantryman here with 8 years active time (82nd, 2ID LRS, 1/11 Infantry). Currently I'm handling some matters outside of the Army and plan to be back in shortly after xmas if all possible with an 18X contract. At time of this posting I'm in week 2 of the 5 week course laid out in USAREC Pamphlet 601-25. I just want to thank all the site admin and all the qualified people for running this site. Lots of great information here if your willing to look for it. Hope to see you all on the drop zone.

I am Gene (also know for my entire career as Moho, am really impressed with this site. I was an 18D and retired as an 18Z, Last job was 7th SFG (A) Senior Medic. I loved the job but to many changes that was hard to adjust to. So I retired with fond memories.

Hello

Hello everyone.
First off, I'd like to state my appreciation to the owners of this forum for providing a great information resource to those interested in SF by keeping it open for anyone to read and participate.
My name is Mike, and I've recently begun reading and learning about SF. I've started to consider joining the Army and upon learning about SF have become interested. My gut reaction has been that it's the kind of life, career and purpose I've been looking for and would excel at.
I currently work as a software engineer. Yet throughout my life I've always been drawn to outdoor adventures, a sense of mission and determination in accomplishing whatever is most difficult, to push and test myself, and more recently, something that has a more meaningful purpose. You can say it's kind of a turning point in my life as I just can't see myself doing the conventional thing anymore.
Clearly this is not a light decision and I want to go into the Army knowing SF would be a realistic possibility.
This brings me here to learn more, as part of the self evaluation process to eliminate any objective limitations and make sure this is the right thing to try for, before I run with it.
I can already see that there are many quality people here, based on the things said, and how.
I'll keep this as short as an introduction should be.
Thanks
