Couple of folks around here can relate to BL and GL.
Balkans? No harm in that.
Were you ever given the priviledge of serving in 7th SFG(A)?
Don't answer right away. Take a day or two and think about your answer.

Howdy Gents,
Thought I would finally check in after lurking, and reading for the last few months. I’m a prior service Marine grunt and recovering college student (Poly Sci. and Intl. studies). Just researching my options and trying to figure out the best way to get to SFAS before I re-enlist, since there is no direct route for us prior service guys. If there is anything you want to know shoot me an email or PM and ill answer it the best I can.
Cheers.

Hello everyone. There is a lot of good information on this site for those of us aspiring to persue a career in Special Forces. I am currently an 11B with only 14 months TIS, and I'm in no great rush to get to SFAS. I want to take my time, learn what there is to learn in the regular Army, and then proceed to SFAS. I am currently deployed in Baghdad with 1CD, and I'm trying to PCS after this deployment. I am trying to go to Ft. Drum to get in with 10th Mountain. I would hope to be deployed to Afghanistan with that unit, and then go through with my plans for SF. If I can make all that happen, the specialty I would most like to persue within SF would be 18E.
Well, that's just a little about myself. Thank you for producing such a great source of information for people like myself, and for all the sacrifices you have all made.

Coming on board
Gentlemen,
It's been an interesting read through the discussions. I look forward to keeping up-to-date on the real goings on in the community. There aren't too many team guys wandering the halls here, which is a real shame. Professionals in a world of amateurs as the saying goes.
Team Daddy and others, thanks for putting this together.

Well, when the hallways get to full of BS go back to your office, lock the door and click on here. Sip some coffee, lean back and relax.
Welcome all.

I'm Matt Menendez a 13B based at Fort Carson with the 3/29 Field Artillery 3rd Brigade 4th ID. I've been a member since the beginning of January, I've more or less just been sitting back and whatching before I wanted to post anything. I just completed SFAS this January-February class 03-07 and somehow got myself selected. It still hasn't quite sunk in yet but I'm happier than ever and ready to move on to phase II. I'll be an 18E and was assigned Russian for my language. I enjoy visiting this site daily and partly credit the info I have recieved here for my success at selection. Thanks for accepting me as a member and I'll look forward to reading future posts and gaining more info for my future.

Welcome!
I still don't like civilians, and I was retired in 1980!

I'm new to the site, just wanted to say hello.
Been out three years after spending my entire adult life in the Army (17 in SF) - never "wondering what I'm going to wear tomorrow" or why.
