Greetings, Brothers! Snaquebite turned me on to this site a long time ago, but I'm just now getting around to introducing myself. I was a 18B in 7th Group from 87-93. I see alot of folks on here I know, and most who are still around Fayetteville and frequent Charlie Mike's know me well. Great site!

Hello
Hi, my name is David, I am currently a college student majoring in political science and journalism. In addition, I am also finishing up my prerequisites for medical school in hopes of becoming a surgeon in the future. I joined this site in hopes of learning more about the Special Forces and about the people that serve.

Intro
Thank you for the opportunity to post, gentlemen.
I apologise for posting this here. I know this is against the main rules for this particular forum, but it seems I am unable to reply with my introduction in the thread "Introductions III" so I have decided to put it here.
To get started I'm Jacob, 17 and a newly recruited Rifleman to the Australian Army (ARTC). I'm currently recovering from an achilles tendon tear that forced me off my feet and into crutches for the past few months now, though progress has been slow, I am getting back into my regular PT habits. Truly an honour to be among you all, as I myself hope to one day sit for SAS selection here in Australia.
Cheers lads.

Hello QPs and others. I'm currently working full time with the MDARNG. I have been doing a lot of lurking and reading old threads and will continue to do so.
Hopefully I will someday be granted the chance to tryout for the 20th here in MD when I feel I am physically/mentally prepared (and if they would give me that opportunity). This however is far in the future and I am focused on getting in the best shape possible first.
I look forward to continuing my education on all the subject matters discussed on this board.
I thank you all for your service. Stay safe!
VR,
JDL

Hello,
I'm SGT Bxxxxx (no last names needed here for the active ones). Finished the 18C course back in November. I'm currently up here at 1st SFG(A) finishing Phase IV for mandarin Chinese. Finish Sage in November. Look forward to getting to know you. Not sure what to say beyond that. If my typing is off I apologize, I got a compound fracture on my left pinky finger today lol and it is inhibiting my typing a bit...
Thanks,
Not even the FNG yet.

Greetings,
I joined B/1/12 in Arlington Heights, Illinios in 1987 after leaving active duty. Graduated SFAS and stated the Q course in 88 and graduated the SFQC with class 01-89 as a 18B. Spent most of my time in 12th Group on ODA 1224, which was a outstanding team. Moved to Colorado and joined C/5/19 in Ft.Collins, CO, until I got out in the late 90's.
Great site.

Hello all,
I joined about a month ago and I am just now getting around to making my introduction. I am a 19 ear old college student, soon to be 20, majoring in Military History. I attend Virignia Tech and will be starting my Junior year in about two weeks. I am also a C/SFC in the Virignia Tech Corps of Cadets and will be the Regimental Medical Officer for the 08-09 Academic year. That basically means that I am in charge of the EMT squad within the Corps and the medical well being of the New Cadets during their training. I am also an MS III cadet in the Army ROTC Unit at VT. Ill be commissioning int May of 2010 hopefully branching MP, Armor, or Artillery.
I am mostly here to gain knowledge from reading the post, but also to hopefully to have osme questions answered. For my degree I have to write a 50 page thesis paper on a subject in/related to military history. My plan was to write about the involvement of the Green Berets in military conflicts isnce their beginning. I hope to ask some of the Quiet Proffesionals some questions for my thesis paper.
Welcome aboard, however if you are here to develop information for your paper, and you expect to get a passing grade, you need to brush up on your spelling and English skills. If you are interested in branching MP, Armor, or Artillery then why don't you develop your paper around their contributions to the military. I would think that might assist you in preparation for your entry into the service.

Reason: If your goal for being here is academic achievement then would it not be best to start today?

Greetings
I dont jump out of planes, but enjoy the camaraderie of those that do. Sorry, cant recall who owns that quote!
Army Vet, 95B, and a retired cop. Did the embedded advisor gig in Iraq, with the MP Platoon, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, and 1st LAR, both in Al Anbar, and the Intell Transition Team, at the Baghdad MOI, and later with the 732 Expeditionary Security Forces in Al Bayaa section of Baghdad. Now, driving a desk, contracted out to a HIDTA group.
I will not say much, and read a lot!

Hello
Hi,
I just wanted to give a bit of background to yall since I joined the site. I am currently a 11b stationed at Ft Drum, NY with C Co 2-87IN. I joined the army with dreams of becoming Airborne, Ranger and Special Forces. I still want to do it all. I had a Drill Sergeant in basic that was SF with the 7th Group and he inspired me to push myself and do everything I could to start making my dreams a reality. I have nothing but respect and admiration for everyone in the Special Ops community and I am very glad I found this site. I will shut up now and get to reading and learning. Thanks
