They were not on 754 when that picture was taken.

Those guys are all wearing US patches on their shoulders. I wonder what the operational doctrine is on those patches?

I can't recall the reason right off hand. I remember sewing several on uniforms though. And in a hurry too.

Do you have any more non-PERSEC/OPSEC pictures for comparison purposes?

Thank you,

Solid

Last night I was thinking about the flag not the unit patches. Sorry. I do have several other pictures from other operations. Promote Liberty, Safe Border and various small missions.

It's up to the Admins. I'll post some if they don't mind.

I do not know who is in the original pic, except I do suggest that one looks a LOT like Eagle5's mug he posted in another thread.

However, I am going to be extrememly disappointed if NDD is in that pic. WHY? B/c every rifle in that pic has a sling on it. I don't know how many times I have read posts where NDD has said that slings aren't for SF operators. HAHA

To keep with the thread... I will give my guess.
Using the observed things pointed out already, combined with statements from NDD about the 5.11 vests not having been sewn on backwords(translated- he is a lefty) then I would also choose the flag displaying gentleman with the grin as our favorite 18D. That and the fact that he needs binoculars to observe his targets with that brand new sniper training he would have just received from LR. He also commented on how patriotic and American that man displaying the flag is in this thread. We all know our NDD likes himself... more than anything else except Sofia, the kid, and his revolutions.

well, NDD?

I think you may be on to something....

From the other thread:
Quote:
Team Leader is a WO with CCN experience. Team Sergeant former Batt Boy who supported the Iran Op. Two really good demo guys, one of the best commo guys in Group, and two cherry weapons guys that just joined the Team for what all thought would be the upcoming social event. And the medic, well, the medic...
8 guys in the photo with an identifable WO. I am still holding fast that flag boy is the 18D.

That is our policy. You ask, What is our aim? I answer in one word: Victory Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival. Winston Churchill

Yeah, it'd be cool if it was NDD, just so that we have a face to go with the name and incomparable sense of "humour".
