I don't see that I ever posted an introduction and I apologize. I am GracieLou , former Marine now in the logistics field. I post sporadically and am here just for the knowledge the board contains. If I can provide a comment I will, otherwise, I will just sit back and enjoy the posts.
Take care

All-
Introduced to this site by a Quiet Professional. I am a NCO with 12 yrs TIS. Finally took the plunge and attended SFAS in SEP 06. Selected, I'll be heading to the Q in MAR 07 to qualify as an Echo. Really looking forward to it. I welcome advice from any Quiet Professional, especially in the topic of SUT. I'm already a 1/1/0+ Arabic Linguist (via SOLT), so I'm not terribly worried about that aspect of it. Look forward to learning a lot from this site!

Hello,
I'm a student halfway through high school and I used to know a Quiet Professional, and I'm just looking for some basic information on SF and the military in general.

Introduction
Quiet Professionals, Veterans, and all others,
I have recently enlisted and secured an 18x contract. I am scheduled to ship 20070712. I am a senior at Muskingum College and will graduate in May with a degree in computer science. The purpose of my visit to this site is to gain as much advice and knowledge as I can to prepare myself for my future.
I have been lurking for quite some time and there is a vast amount of information on this site that is very useful. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Quiet Professionals and Veterans for their service and the information that is provided on this site. Thanks

Introduction
My name is Larry Larimore. I am a tactical team commander for a police department just outside of Kansas City, MO. I have been a police officer for twenty years and a tactical team operator or commander for nineteen of those years. I was an entry team member/leader and sniper team member/leader on the operations side for most of my career. The last six years I have been the team commander.
In 2002, my team joined a regional tactical team formed to respond to WMD/Terrorism incidents in the Kansas City area. We are funded by federal Urban Area Security Initiative and state homeland security grants. I am currently the senior commander on this regional team and the logistics committee chairman. It is my resposiblity to procure the various equipment needed to do our job in this new threat arena.
I found this website while searching for mounting solutions for PVS 22 scope I recently purchased.
I have no past military experience. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Introduction
To the Quiet Professionals and all our members in uniform, past and present, thank you for your service.
You men (and women) are in my thoughts daily and always present in my prayers.
I found this site via Socnet.com while searching for information regarding Special Forces and other Special Operations units. I lurked for a brief period here and joined shortly thereafter, back during the recent holidays. I have only delayed my introduction to get a feel for the site, and get some SA regarding posting on this site.
My only credentials are that, I am a college graduate and work in the private sector. I wish only to spend my time here researching topics of interest, increasing my knowledge, and only asking a question if I have exhausted the search function or that of google.
Already, I have found endless amounts of information and answers to my questions. Your site is very useful and thank you very much for the resources that are provided here.

Welcome Gents.
Larry, did you find the mount for the PVS 22 scope?

National Guard to active SF
Gentlemen,
I am in the National Guard. As soon as I get back from my current deployment I plan on meeting with a recruiter and doing whatever it takes to get an 18X contract. I am here to get training ideas, information about the training pipeline(not G2 it though) , and learn as much as I can about the Special Forces lifestyle.
I want to extend a thank you too all the Quite Professionals here who let hopefuls like myself enjoy the wealth of knowledge here.
Can't wait to get started!

Sam:
As we have stated here repeatedly, an 18X contract is an initial entry vehicle, and I do not believe that you can get one.
Do some reading.
