Well I thought I would reintroduce myself since i have just been reading for the past couple of years. My name is Taylor I am 18 years old and I am joining the Army. But today I ran into a snag when my friend I was signing up with found out his hand was broken and he can't join for 6 months. We were going to do the Buddy option so we could watch each others back from basic through Ranger school. But now its too late for me to start school and my parents are moving to Alabama, so I am kinda of stuck and need some help.

You'll find new friends to watch your back. Go for it or you may live to regret it...and wish your buddy well. If he's sincere, you'll meet up again along the way.

I just wanted to say thank you to the admins behind the scenes who maintain this site and to the QP's who fill it full of priceless information.

Only one really good reason to be out in YUMA......

Coop:

I think you missed the registration message, the link to the thread with the introductions, the sticky at the top of this forum that is entitled "Attention...BEFORE POSTING HERE!!", and the Rules post with the link to the proper intros thread as well.

You need to fill in your profile, too.

Do you require assistance, hermano?

Damn SCUBA guys.

Gentlemen and Ladies,

My name is Michel, I am a CWO 5 currently in the Marine Corps Reserves, although I have spent my fair share on Active Duty. I am sure there are some quiet professionals out there who can vouch for who and what I say I am. Anyway Since 2001 I have been deployed to Iraq (4th CAG (attached to BLT 1/2)), Deployed to Djibouti Africa (supported CJTF Horn of Africa and CJSOTF), Deployed as a civilian Member with the Army Contaminated Equipment Retrograde Team in support of Enduring Freedom attached to JTF-82 (I can't remember if it was CJTF), Intel Officer, and currently a member of a Mobile Training Team with Marine Forces Europe ( supported SOCEUR last year during FL-07). I've been an infantry weapons repairman, infantryman, Tank Plt Commander, Infantry Plt Commander, Intel Officer, Maintenance Officer, and a translator.

I came across your site while researching a poser. By the way if there are any members from class 001-72 I would like to communicate with you concerning this poser. He has way to much bogus crap coming out of his mouth, and I think that he has seen one to many John Wayne movies.

I would like to thank you soldiers for allowing an old salty Marine to become a member amongst this elite group.

Semper Fidelis

Leprechaun out.

Welcome Chief, (PM sent), no need for full names, unless you're retired... Team Sergeant

Greetings to all warriors and warriors at heart

Good day to all,

I am a 15 year veteran of a Commonwealth army, currently serving as a G2 staffer. I am mostly here to learn, not to upset the excellent camaraderie and team spirit I have seen on this site.

I also want to say " thank you" to all those who have served, are serving and will serve on the front lines, wherever they are. You and your service are special and deserve recognition...even those who for the very best of reasons cannot be recognized in public.

A very special greeting to Sgt Gary Baura of the SF, who I met on his embassy posting in the Caribbean in the mid 80's...you are well remembered, Sir!

Working my way around in here.
Joe, were you on A-16 with David Smith? When we were on Flintlock I was the demo specialist who told you not to play with the grenade simulator. Burned didn't it?

My Intro

Sirs,

Im a PA National Guard medic with one deployment to iraq(05-06). I was assigned to a MITT Team for most of my deployment. My team trained a battalion of iraq soldiers and then deployed with them to the syrian border. I also spent time in Ramadi working at the aid station and doing multiple missions.

Im here to learn from the best. I have another deployment coming up very shortly and need to increase my knowledge. Im deploying as a line medic which is not my usual position.

Thank you for letting me join.

Sgt J

Intro

Greetings gentlemen! First, I want to thank you for allowing me access to your house.

I have been reading many threads in various forums since registration and learning much.

I appreciate your service. I am truly in awe of you Quiet Professionals.

I'm almost 54 years old and have raised two fine sons who are most of what I can claim that I've done well on this earth so far, outside of my trade, which is a Lineman for an electric utility. (31 years of service).

I look forward to further learning and, hopefully, contributing to this site with my own knowledge/experiences.

Thanks again sirs.

Mike

Gentlemen,

I apologize if already posted an introduction before. I cant recall if I did since it was more than a few months ago and never followed through with interacting on this site as I am not knowledgeable of the many topics at hand and decide to leave them to the BTDT's and others in the know.

I am 20 years old and am considering a career os the SOF arena. I admire everyone here for their service and duty to our country and hope to contribute to this site in a positive way. thank you.

My Intro

Hello all, and thank you for putting together a site that is exactly like the name "Professional". I have been in the army for 8 years now, I was stationed at Bragg for 5, and Eustis for 3. Bragg is where I was bitten by the SF bug. After a couple years I knew there must be something more out there, but I didnt feel my physical level, maturity level, or mental toughness level was ready to embark on the journey. I now work with several 18 series heroes, and it is amazing to watch them meet problems head on, and be able to work around them. I have been a supply guy for my duration in the army but I feel that I have more to offer the army, and my country then to sit back and chill behind a sham job. So the 2 deltas teamed up on me one day and brought up the idea of going to SFAS, instantly I was sold on the idea and have been training for it since. Because of obligations with my unit I have to wait to attend, but I plan on going in January 09.

So I will sit back, read, and try to digest the volumes of information you all have donated to this forum. Thank you for your time.
