So he gets a $100G fine and 2yrs probation.

A slap on the wrist.

He can afford the fine... and the probation.

40 + years ago I saw a Major's career go tits up. I handed him top secret docs, and he signed for them, this was in Korea and after 7 or so PM on a Friday. The next morning I was called to my base CO's office to ask what I did with the docs. I gave them the receipt the Major signed and I was off the hook. As I understand the Major dropped the docs on his dresser in the BOQ and went to the club intending to bring them to the office on Monday. Even though the seal was not broken this ended his career short of retirement.
The General knowingly shared docs with someone with a security clearance but had no need to know and may or may not have been cleared for all of that information. He also made notes of information that was classified and kept it in notebooks, and those notebooks were not secured. I think there could have been more charges against him that were negotiated away for a plea deal.
I don't care what he has on the plus side, this pretty much out weighs whatever was on the plus side of the scale IMO

Wow.

What punishment is Ms. Clinton getting for exchanging God only knows how much classified info from her unsecured home server, which has also been compromised?

We know the answer sir. One thing that chafes me is that so many of the hounds focus on "how do we know what was deleted?" They should focus on the obvious lie she has gone on the record with, to wit: "No classified material..." was ever on that system or her email account. We all know that's a load of horsehockey given even minimum classification of traffic involving simple source assessments of whether Head of State A is gonna be grumpy with indigestion at tomorrow's roundtable, or that Minister B got laid last night. But like many inquiries they will not ask the right question and are too loathe to simply call someone a liar.

So now Patraeus (convicted of mishandling of classified information) is being considered for Secretary of State, by Trump. WTF over!
