Searching and reading will allow one to obtain more info than posting questions.

Think about it.

Background:

We've been running a jungle survival school in Peru since 1997. Part of those years we worked alongside and teamed up with the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) Special Operations in our schools.

We have designed working knives since 1997 as well, starting with the RTAK and moving on into other models, some of which have NSNs. After spending 5 years exclusively designing for Ontario Knife Company, we set out on our own and now own RAT Cutlery Company.

So, our background is in jungle and knives. I'm looking forward to being part of this forum and hopefully I will have something to contribute along the way.

In closing let me say we truly appreciate all that you guys do.

Best regards,

Jeff Randall
Jeff,
Thanks for coming over as I asked you, it's great to see you here.
More to follow in the Edged Weapons area but Jeff and his crew do very strong work and I'm proud to call him a friend.

I thought I posted this months ago but I guess not.

I am a civilian who comes from a military family. Father is retired Air Force, brother was Army. I have a buddy who is a new 18b. I am interested in military history and read a lot of military books. I'm just here to primarily read and get a bit of insight into what my buddy does for a living.

Thanks

hello, My name is Carlos. I've been in the army/Bragg for 4 years now. I am trying to get all the information i can about sf before i make a decision. I am tired of working with people that are just here collecting a paycheck. I want to do something that is challenging and has alot more camaraderie. I am pretty much sold on the idea of going, but my wife doesn't think so. its not like I'm tricking her into letting me go or anything. but this is what i have to do. i just have to have a better reason other than "cause its bad ass". i want to make a informed decision. i want to include her in that decision. this site along with all the books I'm reading will help me do that.

Not real good with introductions when it applies to myself, but I am glad to be a new member of this community of professionals. I'm not former SF but I did serve as with USNEODMU-1 18 years ago. Now I'm a security contractor HRSO, between gigs at the moment waiting for an upcoming contract this fall while working temp EP jobs INCONUS and continuing my training. I'm hopeful to be able to contribute to the group and grateful for the opportunity to learn from all of you.
