Intro.

Greetings,

My name is Matt. I have been serving as an 11B for five years now. Was in Iraq the last five months it was open, then deployed to Afghan. RC East on a Security Forces Advise & Assist Team. I enjoy the military and plan to do the 20, but hopefully not all on the conventional side.

Very interested in SF, Here to learn.

Hello everybody,

First, thank you all for your service. Second, thank you all for taking the time to answer questions from us wannabes.

I am in the process of enlisting in the GA ARNG currently. I have had some shoulder surgeries and am fighting to get my med waivers right now. Shoulders are firing on all cylinders now and I am ready to rock. I was denied once already, but it turns out the denial was because my waiver request was submitted improperly.

I am very interested in becoming a Special Forces Soldier. Once i come back from 11B OSUT (there is no "if," I will not give up until they let me in), I plan to spend the next year preparing to go to the SFRE with 20th Group in either AL or FL. I joined this forum to gather information from the people who have been there and succeeded.

Thank you in advance for helping me, and others, succeed. I will get there one day, and I will be sure to thank everyone who has helped me along the way.

Charles

Introduction

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am an eight year veteran of the United States Army. After a two year break civilian side and some college under my belt I am interested in coming back. As a former 11b my best option (so I am told) at this time is to enlist as an 18x. In the early years of my first term I had entertained notions of taking the plunge but optempo and other considerations took precedence so this is an excellent opportunity for me. The way I see it, if I'm going to get the chance to be evaluated and maybe chosen to be a part of the best community of soldiers in the Army then I better be ready to give it my best shot.

Garnering all the intel I can from the members and posts of this board is one facet of my preparation. I'd like to thank those quiet professionals responsible for this resource for their dedication to aiding prospects, enlightening the curious, and (my favorite) exposing the liars and frauds!

My name is James. I'm a guest on this site and thank all of you quiet professionals for allowing me to learn about the Special Forces way of life.

I have been a licensed Executive Protection Agent aka licensed professional bodyguard for the last twelve years.

My interests are physical training, martial arts, and target shooting.

I have an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Finance. I worked previously in Banking & Finance but found out I enjoy the Warrior life style more.

Thank you again for letting me get a glimpse of your world.

Hello everyone,

My name is William and I am a 22 year old Junior studying Secondary Education with concentrations in English, Biology, and History. I have been enlisted for over three and a half years now with the Army Reserves (decided to serve because it has been a family tradition, and I also felt that serving my country is an obligation men should want to do).

I have been lurking this website for about a year, constantly reading and taking in any information I could and apply it to the best of my ability. Two weeks ago I contacted a SF Recruiter in the National Guard, and due to my commitment and eagerness to go and train with their unit, we have been quickly filling out the required paperwork to get me released from the Reserves and into their Guard unit.

The plan is to keep me on the support side for a while to get my feet wet and see how the unit works, also to build rapport with everyone there. I hope to attend Selection within a year if possible. Thank you to the QP's and other members of this website with the plethora of information provided, it has been extremely valuable and insightful for me to read and reflect on.

Thanks for allowing me to join the site!

I'm Jim. I'm prior service 11B1P, currently in college full time and working warehousing at night. Just here to read and learn while I gather some information on possibly reenlisting NG or AD to get a shot at SF during/after finishing school.
