A couple more... some a little off topic.

"In front of them all" (A Co, 1/506 IN at Camp Liberty Bell, ROK.) (Until Desert Shield, the most forward deployed Rifle Company in US Army)

"Winds are ALWAYS five knots" Heard on Green Ramp

"We play cards at 1000 yards" On a rock in front of 2ID Scout/Sniper School

"82D Airborne. When it absolutely, positively has to be destroyed overnight. You call, we fall. 18 Hours or less, GUARANTEED!"

SFAS - School For Advanced Suffering

And a nod for my signal buddy: "You can talk bad about us, but you can't talk without us!"

Dispite the fact that none of these are SOF Mottos, you will surely get some argument from the Infantry units in the Berlin Brigade as to whom was the most forward deployed unit. They were not only forward deployed by they had the Group Soviet Forces Germany surrounded from the inside. You will also get arguments from the Infantry units that were depoyed along the edge of the DMZ forward of Liberty Bell for the periods that they picked up the mission. I will grant that they were the most continuously forward deployed unit in the ROK, however.

Since we have gone away from SOF mottoes...the A Co 101st Aviation Comancheros motto was "SHOOTEMINTHEFACE!"!"

I think you have a typo there, as that's the motto of the 15th Infantry Regiment.

Rgr,
Served w/ A co 1-15 IN at Kitzingen, Germany - but when they moved to the states I was unsure if they totally deactivated. I do know the "CAN DO" China Room went to FT Stewart.

Razor - off the subject question - were you one of the original in 10th due to your avatar? My dad is one of the original (FA1) CPT Manz was his TL - and is always looking to make contact w/fellow teammates

Safety brief closing comment from my old 1SG.

"**** with a buddy, swim with a rubber."

This is an open forum and as such is read by folks of both genders and a large span of age groups. While you may think your 1SG is colorful and while his point seems to have registered with you, it is inappropriate here.

All of Air Rescue uses that motto. My father taught me that when I was just a kid and he was with the Air Rescue Service. My mom always thought that was the best motto.

German SS during WW2: "Meine Ehre heißt Treue ("My honor is called loyalty.")

31 Combat Communications Squadron: "You can talk about us, but you can't talk without us."

Hello!

I found another one:

"Numquam retro" ( latin for "never back")
Jagdkommando, Austria

Greetings,
